Monday. The school result came out, It was posted on the school media and also pasted on the notice board of each department. Here I stood in front of the noticed board staring at my name amongst the top 10. I had seen the result on my phone but I couldn't help staring at it on the notice board. number 4 on the list. Logan came first, Bianca second Lucas third, then me, and then Victor. Was I happy about it? No. was I sad? No. More like I saw it coming. I had made an agreement with Maya on that day, that I would make sure not to go anywhere close to Logan and Bianca's grade. Well, I was expecting to come third but I guess I overdid it and let Lucas take that spot, or I just underestimated him. It didn't bother me. Logan wouldn't get hurt at the least.

On the other hand. I couldn't stop thinking about my research yesterday. After going through that flash drive, I went through the internet and did a deep research. So many news articles that didn't make sense made sense yesterday. This is a secret I have to die with otherwise, it wouldn't be good.

'' Wow...'' Alex showed up next to me out of nowhere '' You are a smart ass''

'' Alex'' I faced him '' This is not your department so why are you here?''

'' ouch'' his hands on his chest dramatically '' I can't believe you are finally on Logan's side'' I couldn't help but smile

'' That is not what I meant. Your result is pasted at your department so why are you here?''

'' You know, to check out how my cousins are doing''

'' Fuck off'' Logan's voice interrupted from behind me. I tensed a little, Max family. The family I should run away from after all that I know about them. Here I am dating their son. I turn to face Logan to catch his smile and all the thoughts I had a few seconds ago vanished

'' Hey'' I say nervously

'' Hello Cousin'' Alex greeted

'' Fuck off Alex''

'' Okeeey'' Alex raised his hand in surrender and began walking away. As he walked I noticed three ladies hurried to him and they were all smiley from chin to chin. Flirting with them. I found myself smiling at them

'' why are you smiling'' Logan frowned and I rolled my eyes

'' Because your cousin is funny''

'' Don't smile at him... I hate it'' almost like an order

'' And that is your problem'' My eyes fell back on the noticed board '' Congratulations champion'' I praised him you meant it when you said you won't go easy on me

'' And you came fourth... disappointing'' I rolled my eyes at his remark

'' I think I did well, for someone with one who started late and has only one CA'' Complimenting myself. I sure would have killed you if I stared earlier''

'' excuses, My queen'' I flinch at his sudden warm breath again my ear

'' What the fuck'' Almost raising my voice, I notice eyes on us and Logan smiled at his stupid behaviour '' You should be careful Logan'' I warned

'' or what'' he teases and with seriousness

'' I can be deadly Logan'' A bright smile made its way to his lips. Logan leans down to my level, surprising me '' what are you doing?'

'' I want to kiss you right now'' he whispered and my cheek heated up immediately. This is not good '' perfect'' He whispered again. Logan took my hand and began leading me. I didn't ask where were going as I already had a wild guess and I was right. The rooftop. Immediately I stepped through the door, Logan locked the door behind me and the next thing, we were making out. We kissed like it would be out last, forgetting all our problems, his father, the debtors, my mother, financial situation, and his family secret. All of it. It was just us, two hungry teenagers. I am in Love with him.
