'' Doctor...'' I faced him again ''What is the matter?''

''Your mother is fine, for now, but...'' he hesitates

'' But what''

'' The scan results show that your mother is in a very dangerous position'' Now, Logan was next to me. I wouldn't want them to hear this but they would anyway, not like I had the strength to send them away.

'' How dangerous''

''Your mother needs a heart transplant within two weeks'' My heart dropped

'' Two... Two weeks?''

'' Yes, She will have to be admitted and we will put her on life support but we need to carry out that surgery''

'' is there a suitable heart for her?'' Logan suddenly spoke while I remained numb. I felt an unexplainable sharp pain in between my chest and my feet grew weak

'' getting a suitable heart is not the issue...Maria?'' he called and I lifted my head to look at him '' There are rules that I can not break... you have to pay the bills''

'' Doctor can't we carry out the surgery before I bring in the....''

'' Maria'' he caught me off '' I have overstepped my boundaries in the hospital, I can't do that any more... there is a limit to how far I can help''

'' I see'' with that he walked away with the nurse by his side.

I need to raise money for the surgery within two weeks or else...i.....i. This wouldn't do. I shouldn't be here, I should be out trying to raise the money. Fuck.

'' Maria?'' Bianca called after me as I began walking out. Why were they still here anyway? They should get out of my sight, get out of my life, leave me alone. Why do they keep invading my space? '' Maria?'' she calls again

'' Bianca'' I heard Logan's voice as he tried to stop her. I didn't know what else he said to her since I had already given them quite a distance.

Exiting the hospital with no idea where I am going. Where I would get a job. I just know that I need to get a job or get a place to borrow the money.

'' Maria'' Logan caught my arm, stopping me at my track and I turned angrily

'' what is it?'' I yelled

'' where are you going?'' he sounded concerned. As if

'' Why do you care? How does it concern you two'' I pulled my hand out of his grip '' can you and Bianca just leave me alone... For fuck sake you two are invading my space.... leave me alone'' Why do I see hurt in his eyes. Those my words hurt him? Sorry, but I am so flustered right now and so angry '' Just leave me alone'' about to leave but he caught my arm again '' Logan!!'' I let out in frustration throwing my hand way

'' Maria can you just calm down''

'' You are telling me to be calm in this situation?... My mother is dying in there and the so-called daughter she has can't even do anything to save her and you say I should be calm?'' My cheek grew wet. Tears that I had no idea were around the corner came running down '' Damn it'' I run my hand through my hair roughly not caring about how messy it got '' I need to go get a job..'' I tell him, walking away and he follows behind '' Logan leave me alone''

"What kind of job would raise that much money in a weak'' walking at my pace, trying to catch up with me

'' I don't know... whatever I don't care what it is any more... After all, you once said I have no dignity''

'' Maria?'' he called more calmly this time

'' Logan go away''

'' Maria will you stop for a few seconds and listen to me'' and like a spell, I did but didn't turn '' I will give you the money'' He announced. Immediately I turn to look at him. Why the fuck will he do that?
