I returned to class still stunned by what had just happened. I found myself sealing glance at Logan's direction from time to time. He, Bianca and Lucas were behaving like nothing had just happened. If I hadn't stopped Logan, would he have really cut off Jonathan's arm? In school? And nothing will happen to him? Jonathan seems like someone from a powerful background but Logan obviously had far more power than him. How did I get myself mixed up with these people?

The classes that followed didn't sit well with me. I was distracted throughout. I hurried to the restroom to wash my face before our final class for the day and I was still on it when Bianca walked in. I stood frozen before her. Just yesterday, I had witnessed their father being abusive and now, Logan wanted to cut off someone's arm

'' Are you alright'' she broke the silence, noticing how nervous I was

'' ammmm'' I forced a smile. '' Yeah I am''

'' No you are not, You are nervous and this is the first time seeing you nervous in front of me'' Bianca sized me up with a frown '' I don't like it''

'' well, I can't help it. Not after what I just witnessed'' she lowered her head, looking at the floor

'' I see'' She murmured

'' I have questions, A lot but I don't want to ask. I feel it's best if I remain in the dark''

'' If you want to know if Logan, really would have cut off his arm? He wouldn't... even if you didn't stop him, he would have ended it with that burn''

'' and you think that isn't something?'' shocked by the fact that she found it normal

'' he did the same to you''

'' That doesn't justify the situa.....'' Bianca caught me off

'' He would have done worse if Logan hadn't shown up''

'' I can throw a few punches as well Bianca''

'' Up against three guys, and Jonathan's group for that matter, in a school where no one cares what happens to you. Before you get rescued, it will be over. Jonathan is a dick head who does whatever with girls he picks interest in and even Logan can't fully control him when it comes to that'' I hated to admit that her words made sense. I may be able to throw throw a few punch but I will be up against three guys in a environment where no one would give a shit. No wonder the teacher referred to it as hell. Everyone is trying to survive in their own way. Like Jonathan, while others feared him, he feared Logan '' I know what Logan did was scary but rules are rules, we protect our own and you are my friend...' I wouldn't force you to talk to me if you don't want to'' She turned around to leave and my heart ached at the feeling of letting her go like that. I wouldn't deny that I have grown fond of her. This is the first female, school friend I have ever had

'' Bianca'' She stopped at her track the moment I called '' I am happy you still call me friend despite what happened yesterday" Bianca turned around to face me. Then smiled brightly

'' You are my friend Maria''

'' So are you Bianca'' I can't believe I agreed for us to be friends

Bianca left me to go who knows where. I received a voice message from Gorge. It was the class I missed after the break. Being too lazy to take notes, he just recorded the class. I Put on my earpieces to listen while I hurried back to class, on my way, I noticed that the school was going wild about some event, but I couldn't hear what they were talking about and had no interest in hearing. As I approached my class, the crowd grew thicker. Probably, Something was going on in front of the classroom. I forced my way through the crowd, pleading for them to make way for me.

''Excuse me, excuse me '' I whispered and a few frowned at me '' Excuse me, sorry, I just need to get into class'' I didn't know if they threw curses at me as I couldn't hear them. While I drew closer, instead of frowns, they watched me in confusion, probably wondering who the fuck am I and why was I interrupting their show, I finally reached the front with a guy blocking my view, I pleaded, not caring to look up as he was a bit taller than average and he move for me '' Excuse me '' I reached the last person standing in front of the door but this one this move for me. That scent then hit me as well as realization I lifted her head to look at Logan and our eyes met. I blinked in shock, was it Logan's show, I was interrupting? I look back to see the other guy I passed before him. And unfamiliar, extremely good-looking guy. With dark brown hair, almost black but there was a clear difference and eyes, the brightest and most beautiful set of green. He raised his eyebrow at me giving me this strange feeling of familiarity. I have and have not seen his face before. I looked back at Logan and it hit me, The familiarity came from Logan. Was this his cousin Alex the girls were excited about? I looked at him again. He is more attractive that Logan, what makes it difficult for them to pick between the two? I faced Logan again then forced a smile while I took out one ear of my earpieces'' So Sorry to interrupt '' I really didn't mean to interrupt the family reunion. I quickly forced my way through the door and into the class then the next thing I heard in the background was

'' Wow... she is hot '' A day not to forget was today.

After school, as I walked out of the school compound, unexpectedly Alex hurried to stand before and I froze that the spot

'' Hey'' he flashed the most stunning smile ever

'' Hey?'' what does he want?

'' We haven't done a proper introduction'' he sticks out his hand for me to take '' I am Alex'' I look around me to see students giving us weird looks.

'' I know '' I walked around him, not wanting to take his hand. I already have enough attention on myself and Alex will make it worse.

'' Surely you do'' he gave a sight nod as he walked beside me

'' Please go away'' I whispered to him

'' ouch'' he placed his hand on his chest dramatically '' That hurt... not just my pride but my body, heart and soul'' I Laughed unconsciously '' Oh my God'' he stopped at his track with his eyes open

'' what?'' I stopped as well while looking for what got him so shocked '' What is it?''

'' That laugh, this is the most beautiful sound I have ever heard since birth''

'' Seriously'' I rolled my eyes. Is he flirting with me right now or is this just the way he talks

'' I mean it'' he walks forward '' and I hope to hear more of it'' he said '' How about the introduction again'' Alex sticks his hand out for a hand shack again '' I am Alex as you already know'' he shrugs '' probably because I am Logan's cousin, but just so you know, I am nothing like them''

'' Really?'' this guy is a total joke

'' I mean it... while they are always serious, I am the fun version and much good looking'' I raised an eyebrow at him. A guy who brags about his good looks suddenly drops from 10 to 8

'' Fine'' I took his hand as it seemed like he wouldn't let me go any time soon and I had to get to work '' Maria'' and he flashed that smile once again
