🌹ROSE🌹
"What exactly are we waiting for?" Mum asked, getting worked up. We are both seated at the waiting spot close to the principal's office and we have been waiting for minutes now.
The security guard is standing next to us and waiting as well.
"I have to go to my store." She said, checking her wrist watch.
"You shouldn't have come, mum." I almost whispered.
She looked at me.
I dropped my gaze.
"What, i should not find out and deal with whatever it is that is making my kid unhappy?" She asked.
"Nothing is wrong with me, mum. I told you." I said.
She scoffed. "That woman and her daughters were harassing you and you said nothing is wrong? Really?"
I heaved a sigh.
They are not my problem. CJ is.
"I should have come here. I took the right decision following you behind. If not, you would have taken whatever that witch and her brats planned on giving to you. She could have put her hands on you, you know." She said.
I didn't say a word but stayed still.
"What rubbish. I am glad I came." She muttered.
"Your education is important. I don't want anyone distracting you or giving you a hard time. You have to concentrate and study in peace. A smart student like you doesn't need this mess." She said, going through her bag and took out her phone.
I wish I could tell her about CJ. But she can't do anything about it. It will make things worse.
I still can't comprehend the look on his face when he saw us.
I don't know what he has in mind for me. Whatever it is, it is going to be hell. I can't take any more torture from him .
I have no idea what to do.
The principal's office door opened and the twins and their mother walked out of it.
My heart picked up.
God, let it not be what I am thinking.
Did they report us?
I looked at my mum. She is glaring at the twins' mother who is also looking at her mockingly.
The twins' mother scoffed. "Pathetic beggars." She said to my mum.
My mum is scowling at her.
"You will regret ever challenging me, wretched bitch." The twins' mother said.
My mum didn't say a word but kept scowling at her.
"Come on, girls. Let's leave them to their misery." The twins' mother said, chuckling and walking away.
"Pure misery," Sandra said, chuckling as she followed her mother behind.
"Homewrecker." Barbara said before joining them.
I heaved a sigh.
"Bunch of wealthy fools." Mum said.
The principal's door opened again and principal Gramps walked out of the office.
"Come in, please." He said to us.
Mum and I stood on our feet.
"You can go now, Philip." The principal said to the guard who nodded and walked away.
