🌹ROSE🌹

"CJ! CJ! CJ!"

The crowd's loud and happy voices pierced into my ear as I descended the stairs in between the audience's seats.

It was a bad idea coming to watch the game. I don't even like basketball. I made steps down gently with the digital library in my mind.

It's been a long time since I went there. That place is the most peaceful to.....

"Yay!!!!!!!"

I flinched at the wild action of the crowd. They are all on their feet, cheering and whistling happily.

God, they are extremely loud.

I increased my steps, wanting nothing but to be away from the awful noise. Getting towards the last stairs, I was about to take my right when I bumped into a hard chest and the person's drink spilled on me.

I froze as I stared at my close.

The smell of his drink gave me a hint of orange juice.

Great. Just great.

I sensed the person leaning closer to my ear and I felt him holding my arms. "I am sorry about that!" The person said aloud in between the crowd's endless noise.

I looked at who it was. It was Matt.

One of my classmates. His height was like a tower and his brown eyes carried worry and guilt.

I leaned closer to him like he did to me.

"It's okay!" I said loudly and turned to leave but....

"Come on," he said, taking my hand and leading us out of the game spot before I could say anything.

Where is he..... where is he taking me?

The crowd was still cheering, and my ears hurt already.

We got off the game court and went to the hallway. Matt was still holding my hand and walking ahead.

Okay, let's stop here.

"Matt, wait," I said, stopping on my track.

He turned to me.

"Where are we going?" I asked, releasing my hand slightly from his hold.

"To the lost but found. I have ruined your dress and I feel terrible about it." He said, looking very remorseful.

I felt touched by that. He is very different from other wealthy kids like him. He is really a nice person. Always quiet and reserved. If only the entire student and people I know could be like him for just a day.

That would make the world a better place, wouldn't it?

"It's okay, Matt. I will take care of it." I said, smiling.

"No, I feel terrible. I really wasn't looking back there. I didn't mean to ruin your dress."

"Don't worry. I am not upset. Things like this happen all the time. Go back to the game." I said, smiling slightly.

He sucked on his teeth. "The game is boring."

I raised my brows. "Boring? Why say so? I thought boys loved games."

He shrugged slightly. "Well....not all games though. Especially when my worst nightmare is the golden player." He said, scowling as he looked away.

I nodded, recalling him being bullied by the so-called golden player. I understand how he feels.

I have been there.

And I am still there.

"Come on, let's go and find you something else to wear," he said, grabbing my hand like he did back at the game, and began walking ahead.
