🌹ROSE🌹
The drive to Dynasty Empire was fast. I paid the taxi driver the last money in me before getting off.
I don't an idea how I will get back home but I had to leave the school entirely. That's the only thing that matters.
I can't stay there.
I have no clue what CJ's plans are. I can't risk it. He might be planing the worst for me.
I can't take any more trouble.
I made steps into the building. The inside is very busy with people moving to and fro.
It is my first time here during the week day.
On a Tuesday.
I hope they don't question me or something.
I headed towards the changing room nervously with my head down.
I was about walking past the reception when.....
"Rose?" The receptionist, Vera, called, stopping me on my track.
I turned to her.
She motioned me to come over.
Sighing, I walked towards her table.
She raised a brow at me.
I dropped my gaze, feeling my heart beating very fast.
"What are you doing here?" She asked.
I looked at her.
"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" She asked.
I thought about what to say to her.
"It is a Tuesday morning. Last time I checked, you registered as a student. Your job here is part-time." She said.
I fiddled with the hand of my school bag.
"Mind explaining why you are here?" She asked.
I looked at her.
She is looking at me, awaiting an answer.
I opened my mouth to speak but....
"Rose? Hey," Annie chipped in, walking closer and smiling at me.
Vera threw her a look, making her take steps back.
"Sorry," Annie said and walked away.
Vera heaved a sigh and looked back at me.
My heart picked up.
"You were saying?" She asked.
I cleared my throat. "I was.....we....i..."
"I didn't know you stutter." She said.
I dropped my gaze.
"Where you kicked out for school fees or something?" She asked.
I furrowed my brows a little but nodded instantly.
"Ye....yes, that's it. I was kicked out." I said
She scoffed. "And your decided to come here? Why didn't you go home?" She asked.
"I....i don't want to. I have nothing to do at home." I lied.
"Well, you could study and sleep. I mean, that's exactly what I would do instead of coming to work." She said.
I dropped my gaze.
"I actually did it back in my school days." She said.
I decided to try out a request.
