I walked closer to the road, feeling my heart beating relentlessly.
That didn't just happen back there.
Oh God.
I feel sick.
My hands are numb.
My heart can't stopped beating very fast.
"Rose!" Mum called, following me behind.
I didn't respond but looked ahead for a taxi or a bus.
I am so not going back to that school.
I am done!
I am seriously!
"Rose!" Mum kept on calling.
I waved my hand at the incoming taxi but my hand was grabbed instantly by my mum and she made me face her.
"What is wrong with you? Where do you think you are going?" She asked.
"Home!" I cried.
She furrowed her brows. "Home? What do you mean home? The last time I checked, school is still on." She said.
I scoffed. "I am done with this school, mum. I am not going back there."
She furrowed her brows. "What?"
I released my hand from her hold.
"You can't be serious, Rose."
"I am dead serious, mum. I am done with this place." I said, wiping the tears rolling down my eyes.
She heaved a sigh. "Just go to class, okay?" She said calmly.
"No." I retorted.
She scoffed. "Rose, I am your mother. You will do as I say."
"I am not going to." I said, looking at her dead in the eye.
She raised her brows at me.
"Not this time. And you can't freaking make me!" I yelled.
"You can't talk to me like that. What has gotten into you?"
"You, mum."
She scoffed in disbelief.
"Do you even know what you have done?" I asked.
She kept staring at me.
"That boy you slapped is CJ Imperial . He literally owns the school." I said.
She folded her hands and kept staring at me.
"He is the school's biggest bully, mum. He is going to deal with me for what you did to him. Don't you get it?" I cried.
"That's not going to happen. The principal said..."
I scoffed. "Principal? You really believe that? Forget whatever the principal said. CJ will definitely deal with me, mum. He is going to make my life a living hell and you expect to go back?" I asked.
She was still staring at me.
"No, mum. I am done with this school. I am completely done." I said, turning away.
"Alright, listen, you have to trust the principal." She said.
I heaved a sigh, waving my hand at a taxi.
"Listen to me, young lady." She said, grabbing my hand again.
I looked at her.
I am trying so hard not to scream because she is really driving me insane.
