Guardian?

What is he up to now?

"Her Guardian?" The principal asked.

"Yes," Mr Caesar answered, putting his hands in his pockets.

I gulped a bit.

CJ scoffed. "Are you going to believe this fucker?" He asked, looking at his dad.

CJ hates him.

Is it because of me?

"Caesar-Junior," the principal warned.

"My name is CJ, damn it!" CJ snapped.

"Please, place this delinquent student of yours on check, Mr principal," Mr Caesar said.

CJ took steps towards him and one of Mr Caesar's men stood in front of Mr Caesar, blocking CJ from doing whatever he intended to do.

CJ scoffed. "Your dogs don't scare me, you moron."

"Be civilized for once and stop humiliating yourself in front of everyone in this office, boy," Mr Caesar said.

"What did you just say to me?" CJ asked, but the guard blocked him again.

My heart kept pounding. I felt Joey holding my hand.

"You are a big fucking fool. You hear me?" CJ snarled.

Mr Caesar scoffed. "Look at the way you talk to your own father. You should be ashamed of yourself."

"Wow. Look who is talking. I am not the one in his thirties fucking a teenager."

"Junior!" The principal yelled, making Joey and I flinch.

He is on his feet, looking at CJ angrily.

"I will not have you speak like that in my office," the principal said.

"Oh please," CJ muttered as he walked back to his seat.

I dropped my gaze, feeling really awful.

"As I was saying, Mr Principal," Mr Caesar continued. "I am Miss Adam's legal guardian. Here is....."

"Roberts. Her last name is Roberts." The principal corrected her.

Mr Caesar's eyes moved to me.

CJ scoffed. "He doesn't even know her last name. Isn't that enough to tell that this man is lying?"

I dropped my gaze.

"One more word from you, Junior, and you will not like what I would do to you," the principal warned.

CJ muttered something under his breath.

"I am listening, Mr Imperial," the principal said. They are all acting like they are not a family.

Mr Caesar gave his men a signal and one of the men moved towards the principal's desk with a document. He placed it on the desk.

"That's a legal document that shows that I am her legal guardian. It is also signed by her mother," Mr Caesar said, making me look at him.

He is looking at the principal.

His eyes moved to me.

What does he mean by my mum signed it?

His eyes moved back to the principal.

"So you see, I am not her boyfriend as your student here has just accused me, falsely. You know me, Mr principal. I am a generous man."
