🌹ROSE🌹
I am currently packing my books into my bag. I am dressed in my blue dress and I let my hair fall to my back.
"Rose," my mum called for the fifth time.
I heaved a sigh as I zipped up my bag.
"What are you still doing in there, young lady?!" She asked
"Coming?!" I said aloud.
I let out a breath, bracing myself.
I clasped my hands together, facing the sky through my windows. Actually the tree is blocking the sky.
Anyways, "Please God, protect me from CJ today. I beg you."
The door opened, revealing my mum.
She scoffed. "Wow, someone remembered God today." She said. She is dressed and ready for her store.
I picked up my bag and hung it on my back.
"I am taking you to school." She said.
I didn't say anything as I walked closer to her.
She furrowed her brows.
"What?" I asked.
"I said I am taking you to school today and you didn't say anything." She said.
I shrugged. "Okay. Let's go."
She scoffed. "Fine. Your breakfast is in the living room."
"Thanks, mum." I said, walking past her and heading towards the living room. She closed my door for me and i sat on the sofa.
"I made pancakes and oat meal. Do you like it?" She asked.
I nodded as I picked up the spoon and began to eat. She was eating hers too.
"Are you still thinking about that brat?" She asked.
You mean CJ? Of course.
"No," i lied, taking in a spoonful of my oat meal.
"Good. Don't. Just focus on your studies and everything will be fine." She said.
Yeah right.
It is easy for you to say, mum.
You have no idea.
But I am in God's hands.
He really has to protect me.
***************
"Taxi!" Mum yelled.
Her loud voice pierced into my ears.
A taxi stopped in front of us and we both entered the backseat. The car moved.
"Mum,"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"I want to go to your store. Can I come?" I asked.
She scoffed. "Seriously, Rose, that strategy of yours will not work." She said.
I furrowed my brows confusedly.
"What strategy?" I asked.
"You are looking for an excuse possible to prevent you from going to school today." She said.
I heaved a sigh.
"It is not going to work, young lady. Try harder." She said.
"I am not looking for any excuse, mum. I genuinely want to see your store. I have to know where my mum is working so I can come over and help out." I said.
