"What do you mean you don't know, Rosy?" Joey asked.
I furrowed my brows at the cupcake and rose in my locker.
How did it get in here?
I literally locked my locker.
Who put this here?
"What's wrong?" Joey asked.
I moved a bit for him to see.
"The hell?"
We shared a look and looked back at the locker.
"Who placed this here?" Joey asked.
"I don't know." I shrugged.
"You locked it, right?"
I nodded. "Yes. I unlocked it with my keys right now. Weren't you looking?"
"I guess I was." He said, looking at the things.
I looked at it as well.
"A rose and a cupcake," he said.
"Who would have put them here and how did that person do it?"
"That person must have taken the keys from you without you knowing and doing this," he said.
I furrowed my brows.
"Oh, there is a card." He said, reaching for the car under the cupcake and flowers and taking it out.
He opened it and leaned closer to read whatever was written on it.
"Hey, Rose. I am sorry for CJ's awful behavior towards you at the cafeteria."
My heart picked up as I shared a look with Joey.
We continued reading.
"Here's a little something for compensation. Happy birthday, Rose."
"What the hell?" Joey asked.
"Who could that be?" I asked, looking around the hallway. Everyone is walking to and fro, minding their business.
I can't tell who did this?
Joey shrugged. "A secret admirer."
I furrowed my brows. "A secret admirer?"
"I mean, that's the only explanation for this. The person didn't mention his or her name," Joey said.
I let out a breath.
"You have a secret admirer, Rosy," Joey said, chuckling happily.
"Um... I don't think it is something to celebrate about." I said, getting uncomfortable.
His shoulders fell. "Why did you say that?"
"It is creepy."
"Okay, how is this creepy?" He asked, placing his hand on his hip.
"The person placed a cupcake, a rose and a cake in my locker. I literally locked it with my keys before going to class."
Joey raised a brow. "Like one said, he or she might have taken your keys without you knowing and prepared for this surprise. That's what secret admirers do, girlfriend."
I scoffed. "What? Okay, the person apologized on the card about what CJ did to me. That's odd. CJ and I were the only ones in the cafeteria. How does the person know what CJ did?"
Joey furrowed his brows.
"Okay, maybe it is creepy."
I heaved a sigh. "See?"
