🌹THIRD POV🌹

Claudia walked further into the house. Rose followed her behind, closing the door afterwards.

"Mum, you can't do that." Rose almost cried.

Claudia turned to her. "Oh, I already did, young lady. You are done working for that stupid company." She said.

"It is not stupid, mum. Stop doing this to me." Rose cried.

Claudia scoffed. "Why did you disobey? You never disobey me. When did you turn into a stubborn brat?" She asked, folding her hands.

"You don't understand what I am going through in that awful school. CJ is a very terrible person." Rose said.

"And the principal has given his word that he will not allow CJ bother you again."

Rose heaved a frustrated sigh, feeling tears approaching.

"Why can't you believe him? I believe him a hundred percent." Claudia said.

"The principal is new, mum. He has no idea what CJ is capable of." Rose retorted.

Claudia scoffed. "Didn't you see the way he shunned the brat? The principal can handle him. You just have to focus on your studies."

Rose sighed.

"But no. You decided to be the adult you are not and disobey me. How dare you, Rose?! I am your mother!" Claudia yelled.

"I am sorry," Rose cried.

Claudia's heart ached at the sight of her daughter's tears but as the mother that knows what is best for her child, she maintained her stand and her straight face.

"You are done working for that company and that's final." She said, turning to walk away but Rose quickly ran to her front, blocking her way.

"Okay, I will go to school." Rose said, wiping her tears.

Claudia stared at her.

"I will go to school tomorrow. But, please, don't stop me from working, please" Rose begged as she thought about the idea of not seeing the boss again.

She really don't want that.

"Tell me, Rose, what is it about this company that you love so much and willing to do anything for it, huh?" Claudia asked.

Rose dropped her gaze.

"I am listening." Claudia urged.

"I just like working there." Rose muttered.

"Speak up,"

"I just like working there." Rose spoke up, looking at her mum.

Claudia raised a brow at her.

"It makes me happy." Rose said, thinking about the amazing feeling that company gives her and the butterflies by the boss.

That's the last thing she will tell her mother.

"You are a seventeen year old student. What you need is your education and not something that makes you happy." Claudia said.

"The company provides extra cash for us, mum." Rose said.

Claudia scoffed.

Rose quickly took down her bag and unzipped the side. She took out four hundred dollars.

Claudia's face twitched.

"See? Extra cash for us." Rose said, showing her mother the money.

Claudia looked between the money and her little girl.
