❤️THIRD POV❤️
Everyone muttered after CJ said Rose's name.
Rose furrowed her brows as she stared at CJ, who was smirking at her nonchalantly.
He doesn't care one bit. He has made his fucking choice.
Rose, on the other hand, can't accept it.
No way!
Matt scowled at CJ from where he stood.
"Seriously?" Jane muttered, rolling her eyes.
Leila scoffed.
"Is he serious?" Barbara asked Leila, who was standing in between Barbara and Sandra.
"He is out of his mind," Sandra whispered.
"Oh, he is," Leila said, staring at CJ.
Barbra scoffed.
Leila's eyes moved to Rose.
"Fucking slut." Leila said, making Rose look at her.
Barbara and Sandra scowled at Rose.
Rose shook her head, heaving a sigh as she looked at the coach.
"Alright, Simon, you are next. Pick a partner." The coach said.
Simon nodded, "I pick...."
Rose raised her hand, shutting Simon up.
"Excuse me, sir," Rose said, claiming everyone's attention. Her heart pounded as she felt the weight of everyone's attention on her.
But she doesn't care. She just can't pair up with CJ.
"Yes, Ms Roberts," the coach said.
"I need a different partner. I don't want to pair up with CJ." Rose said, making everyone mutter.
Leila rolled her eyes.
CJ felt a tiny sting in his heart as he stared at Rose.
"I am sorry, but your gender doesn't have the power to choose. At least for the day." The coach said, making Rose's shoulder fall.
"That's unfair, sir. We don't like it." Seline spoke up.
Rose nodded.
Sandra scoffed. "I thought you liked your partner, Seline."
"So?" Seline asked.
"Well, I don't like mine. I want a change too, sir." Leila said.
Other girls joined in, arguing among themselves.
"We are the ones with the power today, girls. Deal with it." Zach said, shutting the girls up.
"That is going to change." Ms Parks spoke up, making everyone look at her.
"Ms Parks," the coach called.
"It is a man's world already, Coach Felix. You have to at least give the women the power in this game," Ms Parks said.
"I second that, Coach Felix." Ms Williams chipped in, making Coach Felix look at her.
"Right, girls?" Ms Williams asked.
"Yes!" The girls said happily and in unison.
Ms Parks and Ms Williams smiled and looked at Coach Felix.
Coach Felix heaved a sigh and faced the students.
"Alright, power has changed hands. The girls will pick their partners." Coach Felix said, making the boys protest as the girls rejoiced.
