I let out a whimper as everyone laughed at me.
"Aw, poor thing." Leila mocked, making me look at her.
She is chuckling at me and the stupid Adams twins are taking pictures of me.
They did that, didn't they? Leila did this.
Sighing, I got on my feet.
"Here, have a seat." Dahila said, patting the empty seat next to her.
I smiled slightly. "Thank you," I said, and was about to sit but....
"Hey back off, bitch." Jane's familiar voice pierced into my ear as she moved me away from the seat and sat on it.
Dahila chuckled.
"You didn't have to be rude," I said.
"Keep walking, wench. Get lost," Jane said.
I shook my head.
A witch will always be a witch.
I continued taking steps along the pathway, searching for an empty seat. The bus is almost full.
I might be standing all through the ride.
"Rose, hey," Matt called, waving his hand at me.
"Matt," I called, smiling as I walked towards him. Unfortunately, he is seated in the seat behind the last seat where CJ and his friends are seated.
Oh, great.
Just great.
I walked towards him regardless.
"I saved this seat for you." He said, getting on his feet, so I could pass through.
Gosh, the seat is close to the window. Thank goodness!
"Thank you, Matt." I said as I sat down.
"You are welcome." He said, smiling at me.
"I knew you would come, so I saved a spot for you." He said, melting my heart.
"That's so thoughtful of you. Thank you."
He shrugged. "It's nothing."
"I thought I wouldn't find a seat. And I thought I would stand, and those witches would do worse than they did a few seconds ago."
"What did they do?" He asked.
"They made me fall and everyone was laughing. Didn't you see it?"
He shook his head. "I was talking to my mum on the phone, so I wasn't paying attention. I am sorry about that though."
I heaved a sigh. "It is fine. It happens all the time."
"Yeah. Your friend didn't come?" He asked.
"Yeah. He doesn't do camps," I said.
He nodded. "No wonder. He hardly follows us on trips like this."
"Yeah. He told me why. You know it would be fun if he came with us."
"Yeah. Trips are fun when you are with friends." He said, dropping his gaze.
"What about you? Don't you have any friends?" I asked.
"I used to. But not anymore." He said, looking sad.
"Who was your friend?" I asked.
"Luther. But he decided to turn his back on me and join CJ's crew."
I heaved a sigh, feeling bad for him.
"But it is fine. No Biggie. I am better off without friends," he said.
