"A house?" Mum asked.

"Yes. We have to go there right now so you both can see it." He said, and one of the guards opened the back seat door of the first car.

"You will both be going in your car." He said, smiling at us.

I furrowed my brows in confusion and surprise.

He didn't just get us a car. He also got a place for us.

What the hell?

Is he trying to make me forgive him?

"Oh my goodness!" Mum exclaimed.

Mr Caesar smiled.

"No, sir. This is more than too much. We can't accept that, I am sorry." Mum said, holding my shoulder.

"Yes, we can't accept it." I spoke up, looking right at him.

His eyes rested on me.

"You have done enough for us, sir. We can't accept a house," Mum said.

Mr Caesar walked closer to us.

My heart raced at how handsome he is. He looked between my mum and I.

My heart increased its pace.

"Your daughter saved something precious to me. She saved my life's work. What type of man would I be if I didn't appreciate her for her good deeds?"

I shook my head slightly.

"Please, I am begging you to accept my gifts. Good people like you and an angel like your daughter deserve a castle," he said.

"Um, sir, we...."

"Call me Caesar." He retorted.

"Caesar, we can't accept...."

"Why don't we just go there and take a look at the house?" He retorted.

Mum and I shared a look.

"Please," he said, motioning to the car.

Mum heaved a sigh.

"What do you say, honey? Should we go?" Mum asked me.

I looked at Mr Caesar.

He is begging me with his eyes.

I shouldn't accept this.

I can't accept this.

"Let's just go and see the place, okay, honey?"

I nodded slightly.

"Thank you so much," Mr Caesar said.

He led us towards the car. We got in the car and Mr Caesar took the other car.

My heart pounded as the car moved.

"God, this ride is amazing," mum said, admiring the car.

Mr Caesar had managed to deceive her. I couldn't even speak and tell her he was lying.

I don't know why he is doing this.

I told him I didn't want to see him again.

What is with him?

Not long later, we pulled up in front of a very fancy bungalow with a sizable compound filled with a lot of esthetics.

Our jaws dropped at the sight of it. Mum and I stood next to the car, gawking at the house. The house is mostly made of glass. I can see a swimming pool at the back of it.

The place is insane.

Mum and I shared a look.

"Welcome to your new home, Claudia and Rose." Mr Caesar said, claiming our attention.
