Cut!" The teacher said, making everyone stop whatever they are doing.
Rose let out a breath of relief as she moved away from CJ.
CJ stared at her but looked away as the teacher and Bob approached the stage.
"That was splendid, guys. It was like I was watching the actual Romeo and Juliet." The teacher said, chuckling at Bob.
CJ looked at Rose. Her gaze was on her fingers.
"Are you two a couple or something?" Bob asked, making Rose and CJ look at him.
"The chemistry is just perfect." Bob said, making Rose's cheek heat up.
The English teacher nodded. "It is indeed," he said, chuckling at Bob.
CJ looked at Rose, and she stole a glimpse of him and dropped her gaze instantly, feeling her heart still racing.
"Great job, guys. We will repeat this part so we can work on other characters. But we are leaving out the kiss. Save it for D-Day," the teacher said.
Rose felt relieved.
"Alright, back to place everyone." The teacher said, clapping his hands.
Rose walked back to her spot and CJ stared at her as she walked.
"Are we ready?!" The teacher asked loudly.
Something caught CJ's eyes on the stage. He saw a heavy-looking sack bag that was about to fall on Rose.
Rose turned and looked at CJ. She wondered why he was not staying in character.
CJ's eyes fell on her, making her withdraw her eyes from him.
The bag took his attention again, making his heart skip a beat.
The bag began falling and CJ's legs moved before he could let them, making Rose look at him. Her heart dropped at the sight of CJ running towards her.
"CJ," the teacher called, getting everyone's attention.
CJ grabbed Rose instantly, missing a step that landed them on the floor.
The bag fell on the spot where Rose stood with a loud thud.
Everyone gasped, muttering to one another. The teachers stared at the bag and then up the stage, wondering where the bag came from.
Rose's eyes are closed. She slowly opened them and realized that she was lying on top of CJ. Her hands were resting on his chest and his hands were around her waist.
Rose's heart raced again. This time, in an insane way. CJ just saved her.
She couldn't believe it.
CJ, on the other hand, was looking at her with worry in his eyes, studying her face to see if she was okay.
Rose gulped slightly.
Jane glared at them from where she stood. She let out a low groan and stormed away angrily.
Leila and the twins stood behind the other students with their hands folded as they stared at Rose and CJ.
"Rosy," Joey called, helping Rose up to her feet.
"Oh my God. Are you okay?" Joey asked, searching Rose's face for any scratch worriedly.
Rose nodded as she looked towards CJ.
Luther offered CJ a hand and helped him stand on his feet.
"Dude, what happened?" Zach asked, walking towards CJ.
