My heart picked up.
The boss is standing at the entrance door, dressed in blue suit, looking very handsome and was staring at me. A smile formed on his lips.
I quickly stood on my feet.
"No, no, sit." He said as he walked into the room.
I sat down slowly and nervously.
My heart is practically racing.
"I see you are resting." He said, reaching for a chair.
I nodded, dropping my gaze on my fingers as my heart kept racing.
"Maybe I?" He asked, motioning to the seat.
"Yes." I said. Almost whispered.
"Thank you," he said, taking out the chair next to me and sat on it.
God, what type of person is he? He is asking me for permission to sit in his own company? That is weird.
"I just finished a meeting. A boring meeting at that and I am about to go for another. Like in five minutes." He said.
My gaze is still down. His scent filled my nose.
I love it.
"But seeing you here, I decided to spend the five minutes with you." He said.
Oh jingles.
"I hope you don't mind?" He asked.
I looked at him.
He is smiling at me.
I shook my head.
"Good." He said.
God, we are alone in this room and he is seated close to me. My heart can't stop racing.
I feel those things in my belly again.
Joey said they are called butterflies.
I feel butterflies in my belly.
"So tell me, what are you doing here on a Tuesday morning, Blue eyes?"
God, the nickname again.
"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" He asked.
"I was.....I was kicked out for school fees." I said, looking at him.
He raised a brows. "You told me you were there on a scholarship. Remember?"
I dropped my gaze, shutting my eyes for lying.
Shoot.
I forgot that I told him that.
"Tell me, Blue eyes. What happened?" He asked.
I heaved a sigh and looked at him.
"My mum slapped CJ."
His face twitched. "Wait, what?" He asked amusingly.
I nodded.
"Your mum did what?"
"She slapped him in front of the entire school today.' I said.
"Wow. That's awesome."
I furrowed my brows confusedly.
"I mean uh, that's terrible. Why did she do that?" He asked.
"It was my fault. CJ hates it when I bump into him. He has warned me about it but I didn't know when I did it. He pushed me and my mum saw it. She had to react." I explained, feeling terrible as I recalled everything.
