"Why is my life so fucked up!", Miyeon groaned, dashing through the rain, seeking cover by using her bag to shield her head.

After classes, she had her basketball practice since the competition was to start next week. She yearned for nothing more than a comforting cup of coffee and some much-needed rest and so she found herself walking towards the cafe where Taehyung worked.

It hadn't even been five minutes of her walking when it suddenly started raining heavily making her take a long sigh. She looked for a place nearby where she could stay till the rain slowed or stopped but couldn't find any. Finally, she decided to make a mad dash for it – a decision she soon regretted.

She was soaked from head to toe by the rain till the time she reached and she opened the cafe door, causing the bell to chime and announcing her arrival. Every seat was taken, and it seemed she wasn't the only one seeking refuge from the relentless rain.

Just then, she locked eyes witgruellingeyed figure across the room.

Jeonghan had decided to just hang out with Taehyung after classes when it suddenly started raining. He was glad that he could make it quick enough before he could get drenched. He felt bad looking at the people outside who could not find a place to wait or didn't have any options.

He was looking at Taehyung who got busier by the minute the cafe kept getting packed until there was nearly no place to sit and that was another thing he was glad for that he was able to find a seat for two.

Just as he was about to return to his phone, the soft chime of the entrance bell caught his attention.

Time seemed to stand still as his gaze landed on her, the bustling cafe fading away as he admired her drenched appearance. Though her blue jeans and grey t-shirt were soaked, she remained stunning in his eyes.

'What is wrong with me?' He thought to himself. He couldn't believe that he could have a crush on someone out of nowhere.

He shook his head at the ridiculous thoughts and looked at her. She was looking for a place to sit while she shivered due to the cold. Jeonghan who could not let her go through that waved his hand getting her attention and signalling her to come over.

She looked thankful to have found him and made her way over to him.

"You should sit here.", he told her standing up and pulling the seat in front of him to let her sit. She gave him a thankful smile.

"Thanks.", she muttered, still shivering.

"Here.", Jeonghan said, offering her his jacket. He would be fine without it but she needed it. "Wear this you are shivering. "

"N-no. I'm fine. It's okay," she stammered, hesitant to accept the gesture from someone she wasn't particularly close to as well as thinking he would be cold too.

"Don't overthink it. Just take it," he gently insisted, wanting her to be as comfortable as possible, "I'll order you something warm."

She enveloped herself in his jacket, wrapping it tightly around her shoulders in an attempt to absorb any warmth it offered while Jeonghan went to order her a warm cup of coffee. She rested her head wearily on the cool surface of the table, her slight fever causing her to feel disoriented.

A few minutes passed, and then she sensed the chair in front of her shifting. Her eyes snapped open to find Jeonghan, who had placed two steaming cups of coffee and a paper bag on the table. With a gentle push, he slid them toward her, his concerned gaze meeting hers.

"What's this?", she questioned confused staring at the bag on the table.

"I always keep an extra set of clothes in my car for situations like this," he said. "I think you could use them today. You should change into them to avoid catching a cold," he suggested, glancing away with a faint reddish hue creeping up his neck, possibly from the chilling wind.

"But-"

"No, but. I'm not asking you so go and change.", he insisted pushing the bag further making her sigh but give him a thankful nod.

"Thank you so much, Jeonghan. Really.", she gave him a sincere smile and walked over to the washroom near the corner while passing by Taehyung at the cash register.

"Are you feeling alright?" he asked, his brows furrowed with concern as he glanced over at her amidst serving the customers.

"Yeah, just a little cold, but Jeonghan helped me so no worries, " she reassured him, displaying the paper bag Jeonghan had given her. He nodded and smiled in response. "I'll go change now. Take care and work hard!"

As she entered the washroom, she carefully locked the door and began to remove her wet clothes. She then exchanged them for Jeonghan's, which consisted of a black T-shirt that was oversized and a pair of grey sweatpants that fit her surprisingly well.

'Maybe they grew small on him since he never wore them', she wondered to herself.

She ran her fingers through her damp hair, attempting to tame the unruly strands. Pausing for a moment, she gazed at her reflection. Her cheeks and nose were flushed, likely from the cold, although she couldn't be certain whether it was the weather or the company she had been keeping that caused the flush.

Meeting Jeonghan and getting his help was unexpected for her. She had always thought of him as a handsome arrogant guy but after her interaction with him where he came along with others to watch her selection and where they just laughed and talked she had a whole change of opinion on him.

And now when she was wearing his clothes she was all too overwhelmed with emotions.

'He's just helping me no need to overthink idiot' she shook her head stuffing her wet clothes in the bag and getting out of the washroom.

She walked over to where Jeonghan sat feeling a bit too self-conscious as she wore his clothes, she took the seat back in front of him taking his attention.

As Jeonghan sat there, engrossed in his phone, he could hear the relentless drumming of the rain outside. The sound became louder and more intense as time passed. Suddenly, he sensed someone standing in front of him. Looking up, he found himself locking eyes with Miyeon.

His breath hitched as he saw her in his clothes. They were too big on her yet she looked better than him in them. Her still-wet hair made her look prettier as her faint freckles were highlighted because of her red nose and cheeks. All, in all she looked breathtaking in those simple pieces of clothing.

"Did I make you wait too long?"

Her question snapped him back to reality. "N-no, it's fine," he stammered, avoiding eye contact. "Are you feeling comfortable now?"

"Yeah. Thanks to you.", she said offering him a smile.

She reached for the coffee, surprised by how it was still warm, and took a sip, feeling the comforting warmth spread throughout her entire body.

"No, don't thank me for it. I just learnt it from Shua.", he joked winking at her while simultaneously taking a sip of his coffee.

"Learnt what?", she questioned, her eyes roaming around the packed cafe now that she was not freezing. Many people were completely soaked from head to toe, making the floor of the cafe wet. Unlike her, they did not have a Jeonghan to help them.

"To be a gentleman.", she chuckled as he told her about Joshua's self-proclaimed image which he thoroughly followed.

"Well then good for you because it will be tough overtaking his image.", she snorted, taking another sip of the coffee, making him narrow his eyes at her.

"Yeah well, I will prove it to you then."  He retorted taking it as a challenge.

"I will wait for it."

"You won't have to."
