The night sky had always been Miyeon's quiet retreat, a place where she could lose herself in the beauty of the stars twinkling overhead and the moon casting its gentle, ethereal glow.

Midnight was her favorite hour, when the world seemed to stand still, leaving only the soft rustle of the wind and the silent conversations of the stars. The vastness of it all resonated with her-the solitude, even if she often hated what came with it. There was a time when she adored these quiet moments, but that time felt distant now.

Tonight, however, sitting beside Jeonghan on the rooftop, their backs resting against the cold brick wall, she thought-just maybe-she could love it again. There was a calmness in the air, and Jeonghan's quiet presence beside her added a warmth she hadn't felt in a long time.

Their shoulders brushed ever so slightly whenever one of them shifted, the small touches sending tiny sparks of awareness through her. Miyeon could still feel her heart fluttering when Jeonghan had offered her his jacket, his words lingering in her mind:

"I brought this for you, in case you got cold." She hadn't expected the gesture, yet here she was, wrapped in its warmth, her heart reacting in ways she wasn't entirely prepared for.

In front of them lay three neatly packed boxes of food- dishes Jeonghan had brought with him. When he cleared his throat softly, her thoughts snapped back to the present, her eyes widening as she realized she had drifted off again.

"Oh!" she murmured, slightly embarrassed. "Sorry, I was... lost in thought."

Jeonghan smiled at her, a smile that was warm and disarming, the kind that could effortlessly draw you in. 'oh, that smile,', she thought to herself. 'He's got that smile which is sweet enough to lure you in the same way sirens song lures sailor in and I'm willingly drowning.'

She was surprised by how her own mind was responding to him, the way her emotions stirred in his presence. It had been a long time since someone made her feel this way, and the sensation was strange- unexpected, but not unwelcome.

"Don't be," Jeonghan laughed softly waving her off, gesturing to the food, "I was just saying, Joshua made the fried rice, and the other two dishes were cooked by Mingyu."

Her brows lifted in surprise. "Really? I didn't even know they could cook," she said with a light laugh.

At the sound of her laughter, Jeonghan felt something warm bloom in his chest, 'oh, that face,' he thought to himself, 'She's got that look which could relive you of all the worries just by one glance and I'm ready to stare at it for the rest of my life.'
