'I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you.'
Coming from a wealthy family was never the major flex in her life. To others, she might come off as a rich spoilt brat but the reality was far from what they perceived her to be.

Miyeon took a shaky step back, the edge of her heel bumping into a small showpiece stand behind her. The delicate glass figurines atop it rattled faintly, but she didn’t dare look away.
Her eyes were locked on, Juwon, whose posture had shifted from casual menace to something darker, something twisted. The shadows carved sharp lines across his face, but there was no mistaking the rage brewing in his eyes.
Her gaze flicked to the table beside the stand, barely a foot away. A letter opener lay there—metal, slender. Useless on every other occasion. But not today.
She swallowed, her voice trembling, "Uncle... I think you’re drunk—"
The words hadn’t even fully left her lips before a furious roar tore through the air.
"DRUNK?"
The word exploded from him like a gunshot, and in the same instant, he hurled his beer glass across the room. It shattered against the wall just inches from her head, shards ricocheting across the floor.
She flinched violently, arms flying up to protect herself as a scream caught in her throat. Her skin remembered it—the noise, the violence, the helplessness. The past came crawling back like ice in her veins, wrapping around her spine and anchoring her in place.
Juwon took a step forward, his chest heaving.
"That’s what I’ve always been, right?", he spat, voice thick with venom, "The alcoholic son, the disappointment of a brother, the pathetic excuse of a father—", He leaned closer, eyes glittering under the pendant light, "And now the monster uncle, too?"
She couldn’t breathe. Her back hit the wall as the showpiece fell on the ground, cold and unyielding, and suddenly there was nowhere else to go.
"What do you think of yourself, huh?", he sneered, "All grown up now? A little smarter than the rest of us?", his voice dropped to a hiss, "Did you really think you could snoop around my room with your little friend and I wouldn’t find out?"
Her stomach twisted violently.
He knew.
Her blood ran cold.
The room seemed to tilt, the shadows elongating like claws around her. He knew. He knew everything. The door felt miles away. Her heart pounded in her ears, loud enough to drown out the silence that followed.
And suddenly, there was no exit—just her, the dark, and a man she had always feared more than anyone else in this world.
Miyeon’s fingers gripped the sharp edge of the wooden table next to her, the cold bite of its carved surface grounding her to reality. Her throat felt dry, and her legs trembled beneath her, but she forced herself to speak.
