'I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you.'
Coming from a wealthy family was never the major flex in her life. To others, she might come off as a rich spoilt brat but the reality was far from what they perceived her to be.
In a world...

A cold shiver ran down Miyeon’s spine. The weight of Yewon’s words settled deep into her chest, making it hard to breathe, "Then… do you know who’s behind all this?", she asked hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.
For the first time since they started talking, Yewon hesitated. Her jaw clenched slightly, her gaze drifting away as if debating whether or not to speak.
And then, slowly, she nodded as at the same time the loud grumble of thunder struck.
Miyeon’s breath hitched.
Yewon didn’t say a word, but the quiet confirmation was louder than any scream. The weight of the truth hung between them, suffocating, ominous.
Miyeon’s fingers dug into the damp earth beneath her, her heart hammering in her chest.
The storm was far from over but she could still fight it.
And maybe this time, not alone.
The air grew thick with an eerie silence as Yewon slowly nodded, her eyes dark with something unreadable. The weight of the moment pressed down on them, suffocating and ominous, as if the very air around them had shifted.
"It’s your father, Miyeon," Yewon finally spoke, her voice low and deliberate.
Miyeon’s breath caught in her throat. Her world tilted, "What?", she whispered, her pulse pounding.
Yewon looked away briefly, as if the words physically pained her, "He’s the one behind everything. The threats. The notes. The things you’ve been forced to do. He’s the reason Daehan—", She stopped, inhaling sharply, before finishing, "—why Daehan died."
Miyeon’s body tensed as something ice-cold ran through her veins. And then, anger—blazing, furious anger.
"That’s a fucking lie," she spat, standing up from the ground as she took a accusing step forward, "My father is not like that. He wouldn’t—he couldn’t—", but even as she tried to complete her sentence, the words never came out.
Was it true? Could it really be him? The man who had once cradled her in his arms when she was small, whispering soft reassurances when she cried over a scraped knee? The father who had taught her how to ride a bike, who had held her tiny hand in his, promising to protect her from the monsters in the dark?
But then, wasn’t he also the man who had shattered her world piece by piece? The man who had opened the door and welcomed in the nightmare she had spent years trying to escape? The man who had chosen to let a monster back into their lives—into their family—as if the past had never happened, as if the pain and the fear and the scars she carried meant nothing?
Her mind spun, battling between the warmth of old memories and the suffocating weight of the truth Yewon had just thrown at her.
Could it be possible? That the very person she had once turned to for safety was the one who had been orchestrating her suffering all along?
