"Long time no see.", the voice whispered in the darkness.

There was only one person in the world who had hands as cold as hers and a voice that carried the same soft warmth. The moment the words reached her ears, Miyeon's heart skipped a beat, as if her soul recognized the speaker before her mind could process it.

It couldn't be.

She froze, her breath catching in her throat. But the familiarity of those hands, the playful cadence in the voice-it all pointed to one person. The last piece of their fractured group. The person she trusted with her anything and everything since childhood.

"Lee Chan!" she choked out, her voice trembling.

"What do you mean Lee Chan?" he whined dramatically, still keeping his hands over her eyes. His touch lingered for a second longer, then he felt the dampness beneath his palms. His teasing demeanor faltered as he quickly spun her around to face him.

"It's Dino for you, Miya," he said softly, his usual humor laced with concern as his deep brown eyes met hers while his large hands rested on her cheeks.

Miyeon's lips quivered before breaking into a watery laugh, tears spilling freely. Without a moment's hesitation, she flung her arms around his neck, pulling him into the tightest hug she could muster while simultaneously ignoring the comments of her family around.

Her cousin, her rock, her childhood confidant, the person in the house she dared to share her feelings with-he was really here. He always had a way to come to her when she needed him the most. Just like now.

Dino wrapped his arms around her in return, his grin softening into something fond. The hug was more than just a reunion; it was years of love, trust, and shared memories compressed into a single, heartfelt moment. He gently patted the back of her head while she kept her arms tightly around his neck, their family around them fading into the background.

"You idiot," Miyeon muttered against his shoulder, her voice muffled but full of warmth. "When did you get back? Why didn't you tell me?!"

When they finally pulled apart, Miyeon kept her hands on his shoulders, her gaze studying him like she was trying to memorize every detail. He looked older, sharper. His brown hair was casually pushed back, slightly tousled, and he wore a simple grey sweatshirt and matching pants.

The boy she had once protected from bullies had grown into someone confident and mature, yet still unmistakably her Chan.

He chuckled, the sound low and soothing, his grin as cheeky as ever. "What can I say? I wanted to make an entrance. Besides," he added with a playful glint in his eye, "...you always had the best reactions out of the four of us."

His laughter rang out as he threw a pointed look over his shoulder, where Wonwoo stood a few steps back, arms casually crossed. Despite his stoic posture, a soft, knowing smile played on his lips, hinting at shared memories of similar antics.
