'I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you.'
Coming from a wealthy family was never the major flex in her life. To others, she might come off as a rich spoilt brat but the reality was far from what they perceived her to be.
In a world...

Jeonghan gripped the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles had gone pale, his eyes fixed on the road but unfocused, like he was chasing a ghost just out of reach. The headlights cut through the rain-streaked night, every red light feeling like an unbearable delay.
Beside him, Wonwoo sat rigid in the passenger seat, fists clenched on his knees, but his throat bobbed every few seconds like he was swallowing something down. He hadn’t spoken since they got in.
In the back, Nari sat with Mirae and Dino, her arms loosely wrapped around the girl, gently rocking her, though her own body trembled. Mirae’s sobs had softened to quiet sniffles, exhaustion weighing her small frame down, and Nari didn’t know who she was trying to soothe. Mirae, Dino, or herself.
Dino hadn’t said a word either. He kept his eyes down, face unreadable, his leg bouncing restlessly like the guilt inside him had finally started to crack open.
"We’ll stay back," Seungcheol had said, "Make sure the remaining students and staff are taken care of, and work with security. It’ll only get worse if we all rush to the hospital."
They didn’t speak.
They didn’t need to.
The silence now wasn’t just fear.
It was mourning something they couldn’t name yet.
Something they prayed hadn’t already slipped through their fingers.
The drive felt endless, yet when the hospital finally loomed into view under the fluorescent blur of emergency lights, none of them were ready.
The others had stayed behind at the university, scattering through the chaos to help staff calm students and families while directing them away from the auditorium.
They knew the media wouldn't take long to descend once word got out. Already, news vans were being spotted on the outer roads. They chose to protect what Miyeon helped save, just as she would’ve wanted.
But their hearts were divided, tethered to the hospital Jeonghan now pulled into like his car could somehow outrun time itself.
The tires screeched faintly as Jeonghan parked hastily in the emergency lot. No one said a word.
The moment the car stopped, they immediately got out. Mirae sticking close to Nari, Dino right behind them, his hands curled into fists inside his jacket sleeves. The harsh white of the hospital lights burned their eyes as they rushed through the sliding doors, hearts in their throats.
Wonwoo reached the reception first, "Kim Miyeon?", he asked, voice low but desperate.
The receptionist glanced at him, then at the others behind him, before typing quickly into her system, "She was brought in about twenty minutes ago," she said, her tone shifting the moment she saw their expressions, "She’s currently in surgery, emergency trauma. We’ve moved her to the OR on the third floor. Room number 3-O-T."
