Y/n calmly meditated in his room as the kids were at school and his wife was out on a grocery run, he's really happy with the trajectory he's life has went ever since the fourth great ninja war came to a conclusion, after truly seeing first hand how fragile life is he didn't want to live with any regrets and proposed to hinata once he had his moment, he hadn't expected her to shed tears of joy.
Since then they have had a wonderful life, he had earned more than enough money from all the missions hes went on in service of the village so they lived a cozy and comfortable, and he even promised her to go from full time and part time, so he could be more present in his family.
It was a peaceful time, and things couldn't get any better, but right now ....
"Ugh....." y/n groaned, leaning his fist on his cheek. " I'm bored!" He yelled in frustration, this particular day had been really quiet , meditation and training was all fine and dandy but there was other things he liked to do!
Y/n heard the door open nearby and smiled , he one who had just arrived, he hopped to his feet and walked into the hallway. " is that my wife I hear ?" Y/n asked playfully.
The woman holding grocery bags turned to him and give him that beautiful smile that could light up any room , his lovely wife, Hinata Hyuga.

"Y/n-kun." Hinata said in a gentle tone that had been present since their childhood. " are you hungry? I got some of our dumplings." Hinata said warmly holding up one of the bags that had a box inside.
Y/n smiled and hugged his wife, who didn't hesitate to lay her head against his chest. " you are to good to me my love." He said as he kissed Hinatas head, Hinata looked up and kissed him on the lips. " I only give back what I've been given, y/n-kun." Hinata chuckles warmly.
Y/n smiled and rubs her cheek but meanwhile he thinks about how she reacted. " a few years ago she would have been all flustered and tucked her head deeper into my chest to hide, she really has grown." Y/n thought as while hinata still had her shy side, she seemed to have grown out of it mostly, at least when it came to their family and friends.
"Can you help me put all the groceries away?" Hinata asked holding up the groceries.
Y/n nodded and took the bags out of her right hand, and walked alongside her to the kitchen.
"What were you thinking about?" Hinata asked as he seemed to have spaced out a bit while they were hugging.
"Huh? Oh" y/n chuckled. " I was just thinking about how much you have grown, you're a far cry from that shy girl I met in the winter."
"Hm." Hinata smiled. " I have you and all of our friends to thank for that, you gave me the motivation I needed to find my own strength, so I could get better, not just as a shinobi, but as a person too." Hinata smiled as she placed the bags on the counter and began putting food away in the cabinets.
