He had been an X-Men for years, it was his home and they were his family but nothing ever stays the same in life.
Jean died, cyclops lost himself, wolverine went off to do his own thing though he would be a hypocrite if he judged his old friend for that, He had had something ororo munroe...Storm.
They were close, lovers even but their relationship had to end.
Flashback.
"I just...dont understand." Y/n leaning on the railing of his window.
"Y/n..." Ororo placing a hand on his back. " I love you, I dont do this to punish or because you did something wrong...."
"Then why...?" Y/ n questioned looking at her, storms heart ached, y/n was rarely emotional , and she loathed being the reason for it now.
"You treat your life with no value....you have always allowed me to lean on you but you wont let me do the same for you." Storm spoke.

"Dont say that!" Storm yelled, the wind shifting and her eyes glowing briefly as she began to tear up. " you have always mattered! You think if you were to just throw your life away today we would go on just fine we wouldn't!......i wouldn't.." storm muttered her voice itching as she tried to hold it together.
Y/n remained silent, unsure what to say.
Storm walked up to him, holding his cheek and lifting his head to face her. "You are not a tool y/n...you are more than that...you have always been more than that...live."

"Live for yourself." Y/n muttered to himself, seated in a monastery, he made the decision to step away from the X-men, hed be lying if part of it wasn't because he was hurt but looking back it was for the best.
