Y/n looks at his reflection from the coffee, patiently waiting for his significant other, he then heard the bell from the door and  the lovely assistant of the mayor and his fiancé .

"Hey handsome, kept you waiting?" Sara asked in her warm voice.

Y/n smiled. "Not long."  He said as he stood up and shared a quick kiss with Sara, not wanting to bother anyone in the cafe with PDA.

"The usual Harvey." Sara spoke to a waiter that was approaching.

" right away Ms.bellum."  Harvey the waiter said with a smile as he went to the back to prepare her coffee

"Alright then, now tell me..." Sara said as she took a seat in the booth laid her hands together. " how are you doing?"  She asked, allowing him to vent should he need it.

" I'm fine I guess..." y/n said leaning back a bit. " just a bit  worried..with the future and everything." Y/n said honestly.

"Mhm your talking about the girls." Sara said, a statement as this had been a topic he had brought up before.

Y/n nodded. " I just... they're no longer children but no wear near grown up and with their powers increasing..." y/n laid his head on his hand a bit. " I can't help but be worried." Y/n said.

"Hm...thank you Harvey," Sarah sounded as she got her coffee. "  worried about their development?"

" worried that I'm affecting it, I mean dad created them  and superheroing  is all they have known, I can't help but wonder  if I they need a..change of scenery." Y/n said looking out the window.

Sarah eyes her fiancé curiously. " are you suggesting they..hang up their metaphorical capes?"  She says as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"Heh, buttercup loves fighting to much for that, more like...taking a hiatus." Y/n clarifies. " I mean it's not just us anymore, the teen titans, the  phantom in amity park, even heard about some red head kid piloting a giant mech, heroes are popping up all over the place, just can't help but feel like maybe it's time the girls to focus more on being girls than superheroes."

"It's funny, the professor talked  about something like this, only it was because he wanted them to get some sleep  school." Sarah voiced  reminiscing on a conversation she had with John.

"Seriously?" Y/n asked with interest.

"Yeah, the teacher said something about school being more important than saving the world,  which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard but we can talk about that later." Sarah said pushing that topic aside. " this isn't an unreasonable thing to want y/n, crime and super villains have certainly been more caution thanks to you four, especially with mojo in maximum security too."

She wasn't wrong, thanks to the iron man and the powerpuff girls, Townsville has been safer than it's ever been.

" and while this is something we need to discuss with them I know it would do them some good too." Sarah then looked at him. " that goes for you too."

"What do you mean?" Y/n  asked , she looked at him with a raised eyebrow. " oh cmon babe, I'm hardly iron man anymore."

"You say that but you still hole yourself away making weapons in suits, those bags have been under your eyes for as long as I have known you." Sarah said eying him with worry, she then reached over and grabs his hand. " we are going to be married soon y/n, promise me you'll slow down, for you, and the people you care about?" Sarah asked softly.

Y/n sighed, building us what he did, it's how he prepared, it's why he was always ready for the next fight, but was it turning into paranoia? He couldn't say for certain but if it was worrying Sarah that's all he needed. " I promise." Y/n answered kissing the top of her hand.

"Thank you." Sarah spoke warmly, she then got a mischievous look. " can we go home?...I to spend some time with you." Sarah said  in a sultry tone, rubbing his hand with her thumb

Y/n eyes widened, he knew what that was code for. " check please!" Y/n called out to Harvey.
