San Francisco California , Hospital .

"So you're saying the baby just Popped out! Like the movie alien!?" Sonic asked as he tails and knuckles followed y/n.

"What? No No nothing like that." Y/n said shaking his head.

"Then she puked the child out, it  is the only logical exit." Knuckles answered sure of himself.

"Uhm actually a baby exits-"  tails began but y/n quickly cuts them off.

"Nope! No more baby talk." Y/n said shutting down the conversation they then arrived at Maddie's Room. " shh.." y/n told the trio gently as he slowly entered the door, and the three followed.

They were then greeted with the sight of Maddie giving them a weak but bright smile as she gently cradled the new edition to the family.

"Is that?"...sonic trailed as he they all walked closer.

"Mhm." Maddie nodded. " Everyone meet Maria." Maddie introduced, Y/n and her agreed on adopting the name of Shadow The Hedgehogs Friend On Her and his Sacrifice.

The trio looked in wonder at their new sibling, and no one was really prepared for what was said next.

"She looks like a potato." Sonic said with a smile.

Maddie weakly chuckled  while y/n just smirked and shook his head.

"Ideed, I will train her to be strong, like a radish." Knuckled declared putting his fists together.

"Training? She doesn't even know how to walk yet knuckles." Tails reminded  scratching his head.

" it is never to early to learn." Knuckles said confidently, tails and knuckles just sighed.

"Well tails is right knuckles, it will be a while before we teach this little one ow to fight." Y/n said placing a finger on  the new borns hand which she grabbed and gripped as a new born often did. "And as her big brothers you gotta protect her in the mean time, that understood?"

"Right." The Trio Agreed.

"So we can go home now right?" Sonic asked.

"Little one put Maddie through the ringer sonic, we're spending the night." Y/n said gently rubbing Maddie's shoulder.

"Sorry guys, if we had more of those rings I'd say put me in a wheel chair asap.." Maddie said weekly as she wished she could be in her home too.

"Don't worry Maddie, we will be here until you get better." Tails reassured with a bright smile, Maddie gently let tails with affection.

" and it's a good thing a brought.. This!" Sonic said pulling a Nintendo switch from y/Ns back pack. " who's up for a round of Street fighter.

""You shall be bested hedgehog." Knuckles said hopping off the bed.

"I got next!" Tails said joining the two.

"We aren't a normal family aren't  we?" Y/n asked Maddie as she began breast feeding Maria.

"Nope, normal is boring." Maddie said with a smile and she gently rubbing Maria's head.

Y/n leaned down and placed a kiss on Maddie's forhead, to which looked up giving y/n a signal for a lip kiss which he delivered as well, Maddie smiled but then frowned a bit. " what's wrong?"

"Do you really think shadow is gone?" Maddie asked.

" I don't know , With eggman gone and the damage done at G.U.N Headquarters we have no way of tracking him if he were, besides sonic got lucky crashing landing, if shadow by some miracle is alive..I hope he's at peace." Y/n spoke honestly,  shadows pain was manipulated by Gerald,  instead of treating his sorrow with love it was treated with rage, thank god sonic got through to him in the end.

"I hope he finds us,  he should know there's a place here with us." Maddie said as she watched the color trio joking arguing about a match.

" really trying to put a dent in our wallet huh?" Y/n asked with a smirk.

"that G.U.N money has to be good for something right?" Maddie asked playfully, y/n just chuckled and leaned his head on hers.

" this is perfect." Maddie spoke warmly.

"Yes it is." Y/n said with a smile, looking out the window, it was good to finally have a period of peace of again.

If only they knew there was still much more to come.

Deep in the darkness of Space.

Inside a space ship that looked like a living organism stood a being that used its complex machinery to track its intended target and song....

"TIING!"

He found who he was looking for, right on planet earth.

"Soon Shadow.....Soon."
