Wild Isle

Waves hit the shores of the lone island, nothing out for files, and yet two children sat beside each other looking out into the ocean.

"Do you truly have to go away?" the young girl asked saddened, her friend and his cranky grandpa had visited a lot, now she learned this would be the last visit.

The boy nodded with a frown. " grandpa said this part of my training is over." Y/n had learned about his magical prowess and honed his mastery with his friend and her mother,but now he had learned enough to continue on his own.

The girl looked down for a moment but looked up like she already had her kind made up. " but our friendship is not over." She spoke with finality, she stood up surprising y/n. "Visit, you can whenever you can, il make sure my ocean friends clear the way." She said making the future clear.

The boy looked unsure. " you say that like grandpa won't hold me back....."

"Do it while he is unaware, it can be just one day out of the year." The girl countered.

"You will forget waiting that long...." The boy said shaking his head.

"I will not!" She said firmly.

The boy looked at her, he scratched his head, she had already made up his mind. "I guess it can't be helped, il do it" he said standing up.

The girl smiled brightly and shook her head. " swear" she said holding out her pinky.

The boy smiled and outstretched his hand pinky swearing. "I swear....diana."

"If you miss a visit il hunt you down." Diana declared confidently.

"I hope the gods leave you alone by then." The boy said looking up at the sky.

"For you Y/n, il find a way." Diana said warmly, she then sudddenly got into a stance "I challenge you to a dual warrior! If you are no coward then you will accept." Diana declared.

"You say that every time." Y/n laughed at what might be her catchphrase before every sparring session.

"Not hearing a no!"diana said taking the first swing which was blocked by y/n.

The promised was kept, and their friendship, their bond, only grew deeper.

But life is seldom so simple.....

Many Years Later

Steve Trevor towards the beach as Diana seemed to stare out deep into the sea, her eyes seeming to search.

"She's been there for a while.....should I?.." Steve Trevor asked Circe,unsure if he should ask what's up or leave her be.

"No need to worry, this has become a part of my daughter's daily routine...." Circe said looking at her daughter. " you aren't the first man to wash upon these shores you know."

"Really? What happened to him?" Steve asked suprised that someone actually made it on this dang island at all, the fact he survived was a miracle.

" them actually, an old man named wasuke and his grandson y/n, he sought my help to teach him the secrets to his arts and more, y/n and diana were a handful...." Circe said with a small smile, those two together would constantly make them worry.
