Overwatch Facility. New York.
Y/n was currently in seated in a corner of the Facilities library, he skimmed through the book he read as he tapped his pencil against his head in impatience, y/n was currently designing his weapon, something that would would go well with his ability, but every time he thought of something that might work, the idea fell apart the more he thought about it.
" I mean maybe if I added a compartment here ....no the gun would literally blowup in my face , shit." Y/n cursed sharply leaning back in his chair.
" are you having trouble with something?" A woman with a familiar accent spoke.
Y/n glanced to see his girlfriend Mei standing before him curiously, i she must have heard his frustration from the other room.
"Not anymore...Loving The Dress." Y/n said leaning on his hand with a smile loving the view.
Mei blushed as her boyfriend looked at her up and down.

"Jiǎ de ( dummy) you bought it for me." She sound finding the ground more interesting.
" and I love it..come on, I don't bite, unless you want me to."y/n said patting an open seat next to him.
Mei pouted, y/n liked to tease but she grew to like that about him, she walked over to him taking a seat and placing her books on the table. " it sounded like you were having trouble, any way that I can help." Mei said with a hopeful look, eager to help if she could.
" ah just having some trouble coming up with the design for my weapon, Winston can help me build it unless I come up with a feasible design." Y/n said tapping his sketch book.
"Your ability to absorb and redirect energy defeats the need for a fire arm, why are you so set on it?" She asked curiously, y/n was currently one of their finest combat agents, he could definitely make do with a different kind of weapon, something melee focused even.
" because it's not as good as it can be, when I get hit with an energy blast , I'm super charged, yeah I can hit back twice as hard but I have maybe two or three shots before the juice is gone." Y/n said as he held up a paper. " I'm trying to think of a way to conserve that power, making use of it longer, and I think a gun could be the best way to do it, I just don't know how." Y/n sighed. " you made your ice gun, any ideas."
Mei adjusted her glasses in thought "Well I had to get a bit creative with my endothermic blaster, but I can see what you mean." Mei said as she scanned y/ns current material and the gears in her head started working.
"Wait.....you can absorb energy through skin contact as well yes?" Mei asked curiously.
"Yeah, like if I'm fighting a robot or grabbing a loose wire." Y/n explained as he had been situations in the field where he gathered energy outside of live fire.
Mei smiled brightly the solution was simple now "That's what you're missing, we simply need to reverse the process." Mei said as she grabbed a pencil and one of his unfinished designs, she wasn't a weapons designer but she'd been in the Overwatch labs long enough to gain a bit of know how. "The weapon has to be attached to your arm, you absorb energy and it will go through the wires to the gun."
" like being hooked up to an IV, only it's out instead of in!" Y/n said excitedly he then gave Mei a big hug. " Mei you beautiful genius!" Y/n said as he peppered her cute chubby face with kisses.
"I-I'm Happy To Help." Mei said flustered but loving to affection.
"Hey Hey!" D.VA said popping up on a book shelf, interrupting them with an annoyed face. " Cool it horn dog, nobody wants bodily fluids in the library."
"Your just made you ain't got no one yet." Y/n teased sticking his tounge out, and D.Va playfully flips him off and makes her leave.
"She is right though, we should not get carried away..." Mei said standing with a sheepish smile.
" yeah your right , but hey if you asked...." Y/n said as he leaned in. " I would eat your butt in this library right now~"
Meis face turned into a bright tomato as she struggled to find words.
"Anyway, I better get this design to Winston, love you babe!" Y/n said as he kissed her cheek but as he went to walk out he quickly dodged a book. "Whoa!"
Steam left Meis ears as she held up another book. "Sèláng! Dà sèláng! (Pervert! Big Pervert!)" she said tossing another book at him, y/n quickly ran off laughing as Mei chased after him with books.
