"Emma you really don't have to do all this." Y/n said as several people were taking down his measurements.
Emma merely smiled at her younger alternate peer as she gently shook her cup of wine. " on the contrary darling, I do, you are not only an attendant of the gala you are also an X-Man, you need to look the part." Emma said as she eyed some clothing articles on of the fashionista's showed her.
"Emma if you have a version of me than you know I never liked these parties to begin with." Y/n said as one of the woman measured his collar bone.
"Certainly but he would always make an effort to mingle...." Emma spoke before she looked him in the eye. "And it was clear when something was bothering him."
Y/n eyes widened a bit and and he can't help but hold back a scoff
"Your aren't subtle darling, pay enough attention and you notice when someone is sneaking looks more than once." Emma said as y/n was for lack of a better word out of due to two people in attendance.
Y/n tightened his hand a bit, Emma was referring to him looking at Rogue and Gambit, laughing together, sharing kisses, holding each other...
"Your thoughts are practically screaming..." Emma said as she made a hand motion for the people to get to work and give them some privacy. "Jealousy is not a good look on you."
"Y/n let out a hallow chuckle. "It's not a good look on anyone...in my universe me and rogue called it quits, we started seeing things differently and it was clear even though we loved each other, the future we thought we were going to have just wasn't there anymore..."y/n said as he leaned against a table. " it's been a while since then but...seeing the couples and then seeing them? Just feels like the multiverse rubbing it in."
"Hm, well if there is one person who knows about relationships it is i, i loved Scott once upon a time but even I admit the way we began was tasteful." Emma said looking at her wine glass with a regretful expression.
"Didn't you Jean catch y'all in his mind." Y/n joked and Emma glared and pinched his side with her sharp nails. " ah! Joking! Joking." Y/n laughed,
Emma chuckled and stood up from her seat. " the point it's understandable that hurts to see a person you shared a big part of your life with you in the arms of someone else, but that has always been life, there is no joy without pain." Emma said as she gently held his cheek. "And that pain only lasts if you let it."
Y/n got lost in her eyes for a moment and scratched his head. " who would have thought the ice queen would be giving me a pep talk."
Emma kissed his cheek. " they said the same thing when I became head mistress of the mansion, now please put on the suit, we are missing the festivities." Emma said putting the suit in his arms.
"Alright, don't peak." Y/n chuckled as he went to the dressing room.
Emma gently hit his ass. " don't tempt me handsome"
A few moments later out came y/n, fully suited up for the gala.

Emma smiled with glee and clapped. "Aren't I amazing? spin for me y/n." Emma said twirling her finger.
"Alright I admit, I look sweet." Y/n smirked said turning and striking a pose.
"Never doubt me dear, now you won't stick out like a sore thumb." Emma said with delight.
"Well then miss frost..." y/n said bowing and holding out his arm. " I believe I owe you a dance."
Emma smiled and hugged his ..very defined arm, making sure to press the side of her breasts, and to her enjoyment he wasn't sputtering like a child. " and he still has manners, keep it up darling and this day will end wonderfully."
"Don't threaten me with a good time Milady ." Y/n said with a smile as Emma spoke into his mind.
"Oh I will darling, I certainly will~" Emma purred as they walked back to the party.

Been little while, I'm sorry but I'm getting back into the swing of it, I want write smut with these two but it always lands better with some context/background.
