The World Unseen. Male Reader x Magik (Marvel)

A 14 year old Y/n was in his room playing with pokemon with his gameboy, when he caught the sound shouting from his  fathe, this was usually a normal occurrence as his dad was the enthusiastic man especially when it came to science.

But this time was different, there was frustration, he placed his ear to the ground since the lab was directly below him in the basement.

"Im Done!  Its pointless!

"Honey Please We can still figure something out!"

"Whats The Point Madeline?! All this Work and for what?!......sigh...."

"Its okay jack... we can find another project to work on, i guess this was just too ambitious for us...too much magic and not enough science...."

"Yeah....it was fun while it lasted i suppose..."

"It was amor jt was, i still have to do some shopping, why don't you come with me? Take your mind off of things here."

"Hehe, that sounds good."

"Guess the ghost portal thing didn't work..." y/n muttered to himself, his parents were scientist and engineers, perhaps not to the same caliber of the likes of tony stark and reed Richard's but enough that companies hired them for their work.

His family weren't what you might call rich but stability and comfort was certainly there thanks to them, but the thing is they wanted something that was their own, a grand achievement, a magnum opus.

But his parents also believed in the supernatural, spirts, ghosts, myths, despite the laws of science they truly believed there was some things science couldn't explain, the mighty thor was just one of many indications of that.

Y/n always watched curiously, he admired his parents and he loved how excited they were for all this, and to see them give in, it made him sad.

"Maybe theres something they aren't seeing..." y/n said to himself as he watched his parents drive off from his window.

"Il go check it out, maybe dad missed a wire or something." Y/n said getting up from his chair.

He quickly made his way down to the basement lab, and graved one of the safety suits.

"Just in and out, thats all." Y/n said to himself as he walked towards the machine, thankfully his older sister was here to nag him about messing with their parents stuff.

Y/n soon walked inside the machine the machine. " nothing seems wrong with it....i wonder why it didn't work.." y/n muttered to himself.

However in a moment of carelessness he leaned against the wall, and pressed the unfinished emergency hatch.

Y/n looked up in confusion as the machine started sparking and flickering and then-

SLAM!

The entrance was slammed shut.

"No no no no no no no!" Y/n said as he began panicking. "Open! OPEN!" Y/n cried out as he slammed his fists against the doors in a futile effort to to open it.

Suddenly the entire machine began to light up, and the and green portal began to emerge.

Y/n couldn't process what was happeneing as suddenly the machine was now completely active, he began to get lifted, and it got hot, extremely hot.

"HELP!!!! ARGHHHHHHHGGGG!!!!!!" Y/n cried out in aguish as it began to feel like his body was being torn apart from the inside out.

He begged for his parents to save him, but no one could hear the poor boys pain.....
