The City that never sleeps, y/n always found that description of his home city particular accurate, if someone wasn't busy with their job they probably had something else going on that occupied their time. Y/n was currently in his basement, looking over his old gadgets and memories.
" I swear I don't remember getting this stuff...why the hell did I get a spider flash light?" Y/n wondered as went thought his old junk, he then found a lone rectangle box, y/n picked up and laid it on a table, taking a seat as he opened it, his old suit, the last one he wore after Mysterio made his identity public.
"Ding dong." A familiar voice spoke as she knocked on the door.
Y/n turned and saw his Wife Mary Jane struggling to enter for a moment as she held coffee in her hands.
"Hey honey." Y/n said with a smile as she walked over to him placing the coffees on the table as she hugged him holding his head close to her stomach. "How was work?" Y/n asked as he rubbed as he squeezed her thigh affectionately.
"We had some issues with the solar panels but they should be fixed by the end of the week." MJ said as she recalled her day at the Emily -May Foundation.
"Got it, hey thanks for holding down the fort seriously ." Y/n said as he had a meeting at stark industries and he needed her to be the boss so to speak.
"Don't worry about it, my job to pull you out of the fire anyway." MJ waved it off with a chuckle.

"Speaking off..what was that meeting about?" Mj asked curiously as she looked at him.
"...this." Y/n said motioning to the suit.
Mj had mixed emotions across her face. " they want you to be Spider-Man again?"
"Yeah...only this time as an Avenger, in a more official sense." Y/n said as he while tony did make him one it was only because thanos was busy erasing everyone. " I'm just...not sure why they are so insistent about it.
"Baby, your Spider-Man." Mary Jane reminded crossing her arms. "You're probably the most recognizable hero in New York, your fan stores still get sold out.
"Certainly wasn't happening when people threw dirt on my name after so much time saving them." Y/n said with minor venom shaking his head, his blood boiled at the thought people sided with Mysterio despite knowing him longer.
Mj frowned and placed a seat in front of him. " look at me." MJ said gently moving his face so he could make eye contact. " I know you felt betrayed that day... I know it felt like the world was against you but people don't realize what they have until it's gone...and it's been years."
"And that makes it okay?" Y/n questioned.
"No...but your forgetting there was also people rooting for you during that time too." Mj reassured. "There was a video tribute playing at a park, mayday asked me...when's daddy swinging again?"
Y/n sighed , little May Day was his biggest fan, it didn't help the little runts powers kicked in. as a toddler.
" so you really think I should just comeback?" Y/n asked.
"I think you should put it on for old times sake...and see just how much things have changed." Mj said with a smile. " who knows..it might feel like you never left."
Y/n held his wife's hands and smirked. " to think your the same woman who snuck in the middle of an armed military operation." Y/n said playfully.
Mj blushed a bit, after gaining some wisdom over the years, she can now honestly say that wasn't her smartest day. "Can we keep that between us?"

Y/n chuckled suddenly his phone went off, he quickly pulled it out, the live news showed Electro Attacking a bank.
Y/n looked at mj who leaned in and gave him a passionate kiss.
"Go get em tiger." Mj said with a smirk.
Y/n smirked back.
The people looked on in fear as police surrounded the area, while shocker prepared to send them all flying, a little girls eyes grew bright as she quickly tugged on her dad's leg.
"Daddy look! Look!" The girl pointed excitedly.
The father looked up and he could almost cry. "ITS SPIDER-MAN!"
The people cheered openly as their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was back in action.
