Enjoy! —— "So karlach, how has motherhood been treating you?" Shadowheart asked as her karlach sat together at the tavern.
Karlach blushed at the question. " oh shadow, sometimes i just pinch myself to make sure im not dreaming, never in a thousand years did i think i would be a mother, nothing brings me more joy then coming home to you/n and our little bundle of joy." Karlach said happily.
Shadowheart smiled, 5 years ago her biggest concern was her very life and now karlach had a smile that could light up a room. " seeing a little you was quite a surprise, and i see you haven't any plans of slowing down."
Karlach rubbed her growing belly. " i was lonely growin up, i don't ever want lilly to feel that way." Karlach said warmly. " dont tell y/n but i want to go for 4." Karlach whispered.
Shadowheart giggled into her hand. "And how has y/n been doing as a father, if i recall he hated children."Shadowheart said remembering how annoyed he was when a tiefling child robbed him.
"Haha! Oh soldier and lily might as well be thick as thieves." Karlach said with a laugh. "Just seeing him interact with her has been a joy all on its own." She said happily.
Flashback 1.
Baby lily glared at y/n.
Y/n glared back holding the little spoonful of broccoli she wouldn't eat.
Karlach crossed her arms with a smirk. "Just as stubborn as he is." Karlach muttered to herself
Flashback 2.
Karlach giggles at the sight.
Y/n looks up from cutting some pork on the kitchen counter. "Whats funny love?" He asked in curiosity.
Karlach pointed down.
Y/n looked down to see toddler lily, climbing up his leg, using his baggy pants to keep herself from falling.
Y/n rolled his eyes with a smile. " shes like a needy kitten." Y/n said as he picked her up with one arm.
Flashback 3.
"Oh my gods!!!" Karlach said excitedly. "Soldier shes walking!"
Y/n watches as lily takes her first steps towards them.
Y/n smiled. "Yes....first the steps." He then gets an eager look. "And soon a sword." He said looking forward to training her.
"Oi!" Karlach sounded as she pinched her husbands side.
"Ow!" Y/n yelped in pain as karlach had sharp nails
Karlach picked up lily. " don't go giving weapons to our daughter without my say so!" She said firmly.
Y/n pouted, what good was being the best warrior monk around if he couldn't train his daughter yet.
Flashback end.
"Though i have no doubt she will want to fight like us." Karlach chuckled. " i caught her mimicking me and y/n in training."
"Nothing wrong with following in the footsteps of our rag tag group." Shadowheart chuckles taking a sip of her drink. "And it seems shes already dealing with her uncles." Shadow heart says looking at the interaction from the table.
Astarion looked at lily who was seated on his leg and looking up at him with wonder.

"Hm...." Astarion sounded in confusion. " do you wish for wine?" He asked holding a cup.
Wyll approached in shock and disapproval. "She is 4!"
"I don't know I've never taken care of a child!" Astarion argued, as Lilly was all giggles.
