"You can ask her yourself," I say.

Amy's walking straight to us. Her cheeks are pink but her walk is determined. Her blonde hair is flooding around her like a wave, and in the lights of the spots, it's shimmering nearly golden. Her glittering silver dress – that is way shorter than anything that I would feel comfortable wearing – is making her look like a super-model. Suddenly, I feel little and dumb.
I was never really aware of the fact how Amy was holding up her head – high – higher than her high-heels – and how that made her look like she was walking down a stage, not a normal floor. But well, it has an effect: Most of the guys in the room look after her, and a quick look to Shawn shows me that he stands next to me frozen.
His gaze isn't friendly, it is more like flight-or-fight.
"She's coming over to us, isn't she?", he says through gritted teeth.

"I think so," I answer.

"Shit, we're on a musician's party – lot's of paps. We can't risk drama a week before publishing the album."

"I don't think that Amy care's about that."

"I don't think so either."

Shawn gives Amy a warning gaze but she just shows us her white-teeth smile. She passes several groups, dancing; looking straight at us. She gives me a long, meaningful gaze, and right before she reaches us, she turns away to some people talking next to her. She enters their convo easily, and I can hear her laughing.

"Let's go," Shawn says suddenly, and takes my arm. "I wanted to introduce you to someone, remember?"

"Don't we do something against her being on this party?" I look at him irritated, and for some seconds, Shawn seems to be unsure. "I don't know why and where from she came to the party, but I suppose she has an invitation. Unless she's not threatening any of us, I can't tell the security guards to make her go. I'm very sorry, Mandy, but tonight we can't do anything against her being here."

There's something else in his voice, but I'm not sure, if I'm just interpreting this because of what I've heard on the toilets.

"So, look, I did remember the conversation we've once had very well," Shawn says when he crosses the room not looking back to Amy.

"What convo?"

"The one on Wattpad. Where we spoke about famous singer-songwriters, and if you ever wanted to meet some of them."

"Ah yeah. Well, eh, I think I've already met you, that is already a great start, isn't it?!" I say, still thinking about Amy.

Shawn laughs. "It is really great that we've met. But that's not what I meant."

We've reached to corner of the room where a group of people has found their place around a person that is in the center of the attention right now.

Only when we're near enough, I realize the hair colour of the attention's center.

Oh shit.

Shawn's beaming at me. "Surprise! You're gonna meet-"

"Ed Sheeran," I say, searching a wall to hit my head against.
