Amelia, also known as Rougelia, is the "outbackia" responsible for uncovering mysterious dreams and myths. Even the stories told about her are exaggerated. Evan, with Jackson, was filled with stories and tales.

His nickname, "Lone Adventist," makes both of them legends. But Cappy, who knew them both, knew that nothing could stop them alone; imagine together. The hall dropped down to a 35-degree angle, straight down. One of the levels up first was completely dark.

But the lights were dimly activated as they walked down. The levels were marked above 001 "induction." As they walked, Cappy was amazed, searching for anything on the ground or some service PC. But everything seemed to have a smooth seal, like nothing they saw had any point of entry.

The walls, plastered with red marks, turned to a dark red after years. The blood looked like rust splotches; Amelia couldn't tell.

But Jackson was crouching down and felt the floor. He could see things others could not with his special eyes, known as "Atom's Glory," or at least what he called the "Sight." The blood was definitely human. He dropped a splash of water onto the stain. The others watched.

"If we dampen the blood, we can take a sample and use the system here to understand exactly what happened," said Jackson while scraping a piece into a small glass vial.

"Come, follow me. The laboratory is just over there," he pointed to the corner of the ground level. As he moved towards it, the CB of Cappy's helmet from his boat crackled.

"The Ferals... they have breached the city. We had to take off. Cappy, meet at the hideout." His eyes went wide. "What... Jackson, I have a bad feeling," said Cappy, his red snapback looking as old as his sidearm. He let out a depressing sigh.

"It's worse than we thought. The Typan Clan has sent some of the horde to Old Victown now. They say nobody's left there."

"The TPC Red Belly Typan?" asked Jackson, who realized he was to blame for the recent attack on the local settlements. He was uncertain how to answer this.

He placed the vial into the machine as it spun up. "I need to find out if they had to quarantine."

"I will go search the terminal," Amelia said, hoping to find any info on what happened.

When Jackson left for the laboratory, Cappy spoke up. "I'll go with you, Jack. We need to figure this thing out." They were about halfway down the east corridor when a strange sound echoed from the underbelly of Mt. Koz.

Giving each other a look, Jack and Cappy spoke almost at the same time. "It sounds like... something banging on the pipes."

They walked through sectors that looked long abandoned. Some of them had lights, and others were completely cut from the system's power, completely blacked out. The level from which the bang originated was ahead.

Cappy was looking cautiously into the shadows when Jackson appeared to be in distress. But his face was covered in some dark shadowy cloud.

Cappy saw Jackson freeze, his body paralyzed. But Cappy couldn't tell. He tried to hit the cloud of darkness fogging around Jack's face.

For Jackson, he couldn't move his eyes; his arms were completely stiff. "Here," Cappy pulled out the torch, flashing it right into the darkness. It appeared to absorb light, reflect it, but the light was just blocked, or was it going around or into it?

The shadow creature was blocking his light from reaching his eyes, and Jackson was walking through a dark plain. Then, when a voice was raised above the dark plain, he saw some form of light and ran toward it.

The shadow clutched at his head, his very soul. As he saw it, it saw him. But his soul...

Cappy attempted everything to free Jack from the shadow attempting to control his mind. But it wasn't like being out of control. No, it was like being there, witnessing something evil control his body. Jackson fought with every fiber to escape.

But it was like a strange shadow chasing him like a nightmare. Once he knew what it was, that it was real, not in his head, he erupted with radioactive energy that pushed the shadow creature away, but not for long.

It was chasing him in a dream dimension. When he noticed it, he took off like he was in God mode, "Admin." But each time, it found him in the farthest reaches of his dream universe. Then, all of a sudden, he was up, out of his head, and Cappy was waving green fire from his face.

"What the hell was that?" Cappy felt his fear. Then, he saw Jack's eyes close with contempt. He breathed out, then moved his arms up and down, afraid of the evil version of himself being enhanced by the shadow creature.

"I know what to do now, follow me," said Jackson.
