"Young human wizard, faced with existence beyond your imagination, submission is the only correct choice, which will bring unimaginable benefits."

"Have you ever tasted death? Death is not the end of fear. Time is endless, and death is only the beginning of pain!"

"Only the immortals are powerful! Do you desire immortality?"

The whispers of the malevolent spirit continued to echo in Evan's mind, uttering the most delirious thoughts.

Under his torment, Evan suffered a terrible headache.

From the expressions of the vampires around him, it seemed that only he could hear the whispers of the evil god.

The malevolent spirit sensed the Philosopher's Stone that Evan carried with him and tempted him to yield, to hand it over, and help break the seal to come into the real world.

Unless he truly went mad, Evan, who knew the true face of the malevolent spirit, would naturally never do so. He needed to focus and await the vampires' decision.

"I don't know where you got Slytherin's Locket from," Evan Caresius looked at Evan. "But you are not strong enough to help us."

"Strength can be improved; I still have time," Evan hurriedly replied.

If he didn't convince these vampires, he and Sirius would be doomed to death.

"But we don't have much time. My clan and I must decide as soon as possible whether to be destroyed or reborn," Caresius moved his eyes from Slytherin's Locket to Evan. "Tell me your name, young human."

"Evan Mason," Evan responded, slightly distracted.

In the vampires' eyes, there seemed to be some kind of Confundus Charm.

"Very well, Evan," Caresius said slowly. "Thank you for your help, but we have already chosen our ally. He is very strong and shares a common ancestor with us. I'm sure he will help us overcome it!"

"Who is it?!" Evan sensed something was amiss.

These vampires were descendants of Salazar Slytherin. If the ally had a common ancestor with them and was in the Albanian forests, then this person was...

"Let's not call him by his name directly. As the darkest wizard in history, people usually call him You-Know-Who," Caresius said slowly, a playful smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, as if not being serious.

"VOLDEMORT!" Even though he had already suspected it, Evan was surprised to hear Caresius acknowledge it. "You're crazy; you're going to work with Voldemort!"

He kept looking around, searching for traces of Voldemort.

There were no words to describe his feelings at that moment. It was as if his heart had suddenly sunk into his stomach.

There was a void in Evan's mind, which was the worst outcome.

The thought terrified him. With the help of the vampires, Voldemort's power would grow unbelievably. It was only a matter of time before he returned.

"You're playing with fire; Voldemort is the most dangerous and powerful dark wizard."

"In the eyes of wizards, we vampires are dark taboos in ourselves. I don't think there's anything wrong with working with a dark wizard," Caresius said. "As long as he can fulfill his promise and help us, it's enough."

It was a joke to expect Voldemort to keep his promise.

When he regained his strength and gathered the Death Eaters, these vampires would be much less useful to him. And then, he would not hesitate to abandon them.

Evan hoped to convince him to understand this. Under his persuasion, Caresius seemed to hesitate, but in the end, he did not yield.

"Let's get to the point. You and Black were supposed to die, but because you are Elaine's friend, I decided not to kill you!" Caresius said. "I will take you to see that person; he wants to know why Dumbledore appeared in the forest. Then, I will erase your memories myself."

The damn Obliviate spell again!

Although these vampires promised to let him and Sirius go, Evan doubted that Voldemort would agree.

"By the way, you should hide the Locket on your chest," Caresius took two steps forward and suddenly turned and continued, smiling. "I just found out who the original owner of that Locket was. Let's not take any risks!"

Under the vampire's gaze, Evan put the Locket back under his robe.

Caresius was right to remind him that this Locket was one of Voldemort's Horcruxes. If he saw it, things would quickly go awry...

Evan quickly reflected on this matter. Judging by Caresius's tone in the recent conversation and his warning about the Locket, he seemed not to fully believe in Voldemort.

Despite being allies, there was a great deal of mistrust between the two factions.

Evan felt that he might have a chance. If he could reason with these vampires, he could turn the tables and perhaps even end Voldemort there, putting an end to everything.

On the way, Caresius listened to Evan's persuasion with a smile on his face, neither opposing nor approving, leaving him truly powerless.

No matter what he said, the vampire did not express his opinion.

It was like hitting a very strong cotton ball, frustrating and hopeless.

The vampire seemed determined to assist Voldemort but had no intention of putting all his eggs in one basket. His words were meant to lure Evan in.

Both Voldemort and Evan met the requirements of the prophecy passed down by their clan; it was wise to always leave a suitable margin.

If it weren't for the current situation, Caresius would truly be a kind-hearted elder. He would even invite Evan to his family to see Elaine again.

In the air, above all, the river composed of countless fragments of blood and flesh moved slowly in the direction of their advance, emitting a sound of running water.

This sensation was very peculiar. Anyone witnessing this scene would first be surprised and then be immersed in the conjurer's powerful magic.

But then it was disgusting and terrifying to see the horrifying things in the river.

The pungent smell of blood made Evan feel nauseous.

The vampires, familiar with the smell of blood, did not feel uncomfortable; in fact, they somewhat enjoyed it, like humans strolling through a master chef's kitchen!

"What are you going to do?!" Evan frowned at the revolting river of flesh and blood in the air and asked anxiously, "Are you going to use this flesh and blood to summon the evil god?!"

"We have no intention of summoning the ancient malevolent creature hidden in the Temple," Caresius seemed slightly surprised that Evan mentioned this, "In fact, deep within this relic lies a powerful Philosopher's Stone. He aims to retrieve it, to decipher the last magic left by the ancient Centaurs."
