"Now, if there is no counter curse, why am I showing you this? Because you need to know it; you need to appreciate what is the worst. You do not want to find yourselves in a situation where you face it. CONSTANT VIGILANCE!" he roared, and the entire class jumped once more.

"Now... those three curses - Avada Kedavra, Imperius, and Cruciatus - are known as the Unforgivable Curses. The use of any of them on a human being is enough to earn a lifetime sentence in Azkaban. That is what you are fighting against, that is what I have to teach you to combat. You need to prepare, you need to arm yourselves, but above all, you need to practice constant and unwavering vigilance. Take out your quills and jot this down..."

No one spoke; they were busy taking notes on each of the three Unforgivable Curses.

Just when everyone thought this Defense Against the Dark Arts class so moving was about to end, Moody suddenly said, "Next, I will cast the Imperius Curse directly on you to demonstrate the power of this curse and see if you can resist its effects. This was supposed to be learned later in class, but since Evan Mason, the genius known as the future star of the wizarding world, is here, I believe we can give it a try ahead of time."

As soon as he said that, there was a roar in the classroom, and all sorts of arguments erupted like a torrent.

Everyone looked at Moody and Evan in surprise, with eager faces full of excitement.

Did they hear it correctly? Was Mad-Eye Moody really going to use the Imperius Curse on Evan?

God, this was absolutely insane!

They were all excited to death, but also a little scared, eagerly awaiting what would happen next with anxiety.

As for the Slytherin students, they were definitely gloating at the sight of Evan suffering. What Moody had just done to control the spider was still fresh in their minds.

If Evan were to put on a show like that in front of everyone, it would certainly be big news for the whole school.

Everyone was talking. Only Colin, Ginny, and other students who had a good relationship with Evan were worried.

They were afraid Evan might not be able to endure it, and it would definitely be a bad thing for a younger wizard to fall into such malevolent dark magic.

It didn't faze Evan. 'Mad-Eye' had told him beforehand the night before that he was going to do it.

He just didn't expect this charlatan to be so eager to do it so fast.

"Mason, step forward!" Moody waved his wand, and the desks slid to the sides, leaving a wide space in the middle of the classroom.

"Professor, it's fine if you want to cast the Imperius Curse on me. But I have to remind you that it is a serious violation to use this curse on another human being," said Evan slowly, "You just stated that this is enough to earn a lifetime sentence in Azkaban, and it's not a pleasant place. There may not be fresh blood and other food."

There was a moment of silence; the others blinked and looked at Evan. They seemed not to understand what he meant.

Moody's incomplete nose twitched unnaturally, but his face was impassive.

"Thank you for reminding me, I will keep that in mind!" said Moody coldly, his magical eye swiveling towards Evan and fixing him with a disturbing and unyielding gaze. "Dumbledore wants you to learn how it feels. If you prefer to learn the hard way, with someone casting it on you to fully control you, that's fine by me. You are excused. Go and never appear in my class again!"

The atmosphere was tense. The students looked at both, waiting to see if Evan would leave the classroom.

Of course, Evan couldn't let himself be intimidated. It would be too shameful, and he had confidence in his Occlumency skills.

Now that the opponent had decided to cast the Imperius Curse on him, he had to try it and see who would suffer in the end.

Evan stood up and smoothed his school robes gently.

Under the nervous gazes of everyone, he walked towards the center of the classroom, where Moody had cleared the desks.

Moody raised his wand and looked fiercely at Evan, as if he wanted to devour him alive.

"Professor, you may begin!" Evan said softly.

Moody did not show any courtesy. He raised his wand and said, "Imperio!"

In the next second, Evan felt a sense of floating as every thought and worry in his head were gently erased, leaving only a vague and hardly traceable happiness. He stood there feeling immensely relaxed, only vaguely aware that everyone was watching him.

Different from the usual Imperius Curse, Moody's magic bore a peculiar strength. This force was notably potent and especially malevolent.

Empowered by it, the might of this Imperius Curse far exceeded the power wielded by common Dark Wizards.

Powerful forces were tugging at Evan's soul, pulling it away from his body, beyond return...

Yet, despite its potency, it paled in comparison to the power of malevolent gods.

Almost as Moody cast the curse, Evan's Occlumency naturally kicked in.

All external spiritual invasions were met with resistance, and the magic's power failed to breach Evan's mind.

In a heartbeat of that floating sensation, his consciousness returned, and the scene before his eyes grew clearer and brighter. Evan had broken his opponent's powerful Imperius Curse!

However, the fake Moody remained oblivious to this. No matter how formidable he was, he probably didn't anticipate Evan breaking free from the Imperius Curse so swiftly. He believed Evan was under his control. A flash of overwhelming joy distinctly crossed his grotesque face.

Evan said nothing. He wanted to see what 'Moody' would do next.

And then he heard the voice of Mad-Eye Moody, echoing in some distant chamber of his clear mind: "Jump, jump three times in the same spot, jump three times..."

This request was deceptively simple, and Evan jumped three times in the same spot, obedient to the professor's orders.

Laughter could be heard in the hall, and the Slytherin students likely thought he was being controlled by the Imperius Curse to perform such a amusing and bizarre act. They clamored for Moody to control Evan to do something even more excessive.

Moody nodded and agreed, apparently satisfied with Evan's response.

In the next moment, the voice echoed in Evan's mind again.

This time it was not a command but... Legilimency!

As Evan had suspected, this individual couldn't resist delving into his memory after controlling him.
