Upon hearing this request, Hermione had no idea what to do.

With Evan in her arms, so close to her, her mind had stopped working.

Hermione didn't know how to respond to Ginny. Should she give Evan to her to hold?

If only Ginny knew she wasn't holding Crookshanks but Evan, she would be mortified! Especially considering the current situation, as they were about to sleep, not wearing much clothing.

Her summer pajamas were very thin and somewhat transparent.

This would be contact with Evan, with a boy.

In the brief silence, the strange atmosphere was becoming increasingly intense.

"Hermione?" Ginny said strangely, feeling that Hermione wasn't quite herself that night. It had been like this since she returned, as if something had happened.

Indeed, much had happened.

But Ginny would never have imagined, not even in her dreams, that Evan had actually turned into a black cat in her room.

Moreover, he had just been lying on the bed with Hermione, and now she had him securely in her arms.

Feeling the stiffness of his body, Evan was ready to leave. He couldn't stay here.

The atmosphere was too strange, and there was an inexplicable sensation in his body.

He was experiencing a strange physical reaction. If only he and Hermione were alone here...

He blinked and couldn't bear it any longer. It would be terrible if Ginny found out!

As Evan was ready to act, he heard Ginny say, "Ah, I see. Is it something Evan mentioned to you before going to bed?"

"What?" Upon hearing Ginny's words, Hermione was taken aback and knew Ginny had misunderstood her.

But it was at that precise moment, and she decided to continue with that mistake.

In any case, it was much easier than explaining to Ginny that the cat in her arms was not Crookshanks.

"Yes," said Hermione vaguely, nodding.

"Haha, did Evan confess something to you?!" Ginny's mouth curved into a mocking smile. "What did he say?"

Evan, who was supposed to leave, suddenly stopped and was ready to listen. This topic was interesting.

He paid attention and waited for Ginny's next words.

Ginny had always been the bolder of the two, at least when Harry wasn't around.

Perhaps she would get Hermione to say something that interested her.

"Nothing! We just talked about the Quidditch World Cup," Hermione quickly said.

"Really?!" Ginny drawled, expressing doubts.

Knowing Hermione, if Evan hadn't said "more," she wouldn't have acted like that.

Too abnormal, too strange; Hermione was eager to cover up.

"By the way, Hermione, have you two already done that kind of thing?" Ginny continued, her smile becoming more evident.

"What kind of thing?" Hermione sensed trouble.

"Kissing; I heard Angelina say she did it with Fred last term." Ginny went on, "Percy and Penelope did it too. Remember the year of the Basilisk and the Chamber of Secrets? That year, they were secretly dating all over the castle, and I saw them once, in an empty classroom, they..."

Upon hearing Ginny's words, Hermione held Evan tightly and unconsciously.

She thought back to last Christmas in Diagon Alley, kissing Evan herself. It felt as if it was happening right now, with that overwhelming sweetness.

But out of fear, she ran to that memory and was now pondering it.

Due to Hermione's sudden embrace, Evan hurriedly struggled and stretched his head out of Hermione's arms.

Now he was in the form of a black cat with his head held high and his tiny paws pushing forward.

"Ah!" Hermione let out a slight cry at Evan's actions.

"What's wrong?" Ginny asked hurriedly, blinking.

"No, it's okay. Crookshanks is moving in my arms!" said Hermione.

She looked down at Evan and asked him to calm down.

Indeed, Evan had never seen Hermione from this perspective.

Looking up at her from below, observing Hermione's chin and profile, Evan felt she was extraordinarily charming and particularly attractive.

Regarding Hermione's threatening gaze, Evan directly ignored it.

"You've surely done it with Evan!" Ginny turned around and seemed to have forgotten to hug Crookshanks. She looked at the ceiling and extended her small hands. "I want to try too, what a special sensation!"

"No, nothing happened between us!" Hermione hastily exclaimed.

She felt she could no longer keep up with Ginny's thoughts. She pushed Evan out while Ginny wasn't looking.

The door was open, and Evan just had to seize the opportunity to leave and no longer worry about being discovered by Ginny.

But Evan didn't want to leave at that moment because the conversation between the girls was unexpectedly captivating.

He wanted to see Hermione's next reaction; it was a rare opportunity!

Evan pretended not to immediately understand Hermione and clung tightly to her nightshirt.

Like a true cat, Hermione couldn't bring him down, no matter how hard she tried.

"What are you doing? Get out of here!" Hermione muttered through gritted teeth.

Because her voice was so low, Evan did not hear what she said.

He only felt Hermione's warm and delicate breath in his ear.

In that breath, the air turned peculiar.

As it passed by his ear, Evan suddenly felt his strength drain away and gently leaned on her.

"It's a shame that you two didn't kiss. I thought you had been together for a while!" Ginny said, "I heard the older girls say that after the third year, they should go on a date. I don't know if Harry will ask anyone out."

Her expectations were doomed to fail as Hogwarts would host the Triwizard Tournament this year.

At Christmas, there would be a grand ball at the castle, and everyone would need a partner.

Harry probably wanted to invite Cho Chang from Ravenclaw.

Compared to Ginny, who was still a young girl, the fifth-year student Cho was certainly more alluring, as well as very beautiful.

"Hermione, you need to hurry!" Ginny continued. "You know, there are many girls at school who are in love with Evan, like Cho Chang from Ravenclaw, she is going to..."

"If Evan likes Cho, I can't stop him from making that choice," Hermione said flatly.

However, the hidden meaning in her words immediately sent shivers down Evan's entire body.

The warmth of her breath vanished in the blink of an eye, and under Hermione's gaze, Evan suddenly felt a chill.

He was not going to stay here, and since the topic had shifted to him, he would obviously stoke the flames by staying longer.

In the next moment, Evan mimicked Crookshanks' voice and meowed.

He leaped from Hermione's arms and dashed into the dark hallway.

Behind him, Hermione watched as Evan disappeared, her face flushed to the extreme, unsure of what to think.
