After Kreacher finished speaking with his monotonous and stiff voice, there was a suffocating silence in the room.

Evan held Elaine's clothes and stared fixedly at the door.

Another person came to find him. When? How? Why?!

He did not expect so many people to come visit him today. Under the rain, they entered one after another; all girls!

If it were another occasion or different time, Evan would have welcomed them gladly.

But in the current situation, regardless of who was outside, the situation in the room was not suitable for anyone to come in, especially with all of Elaine's clothes in his hands!

Actually, Evan just wanted to return Elaine's clothes. But if they saw him, no matter how much he tried to explain, no one would believe things were so simple.

A boy and a girl, alone in a cozy chamber in a shop; the small and lovely Elaine was not wearing anything, and all her clothes were in Evan's hands...! If it were just an accident, would anyone be willing to believe it?!

No matter how Evan tried to explain it, this was a crime scene!

Evan glanced at the clothes in his hand and quickly looked away, as if he could see himself being hanged by them.

He would rather face an evil god who had managed to come into the world or Voldemort after regaining strength than deal with these things.

The dress, the pair of cotton socks, and the underwear, which did not weigh much, now felt as heavy as lead.

Particularly, the thought that all that clothing belonged to Elaine...

This clothing, including Elaine's dress, underwear, and socks, were all wet...

Evan swallowed hard. If only Elaine would quickly open the door to retrieve the clothes, he would have no more reasons to hold onto them.

Now he was nervous, and Elaine hidden in the bathroom was even more nervous than him.

She felt very uncomfortable just because her clothes clung to her when wet, and she wanted to take a shower upon seeing the bathroom.

The confused Elaine forgot that Evan was also there. She took off all her clothes and placed them at the bathroom door.

It was too late to think about it afterward. She hesitated for a long time before gathering the courage to ask for them through the crack in the door.

After asking that of Evan, Elaine was already amazed by her own bravery; she never imagined she could be so bold.

Now that she heard someone was going to enter, she did not dare to speak, let alone open the door.

Elaine curled up tightly with her legs hugged like a cute kitten. She hid in the bathtub, bubbling noisily.

It was hard to believe that this shy girl was actually a vampire.

Outside, Evan wanted to explain to Elaine, ask her to open the door, and take her clothes.

But this was not something that could be explained clearly in a few words. Kreacher and the visitor were still standing outside the door.

The soundproofing in the shop was not very good. Evan couldn't say anything.

"Knock, knock, knock." With so much time passing, Kreacher knocked on the door again.

"Mr. Evan, this young lady wants to see you!" Kreacher said, puzzled.

"I-I know!" Evan replied.

It was impossible to continue like this. It wouldn't work if he remained silent and pretended he wasn't there. Kreacher knew he was inside.

It seemed he could only say he had something to do, let Kreacher and the visitor leave, and deal with the problem in the room first.

"Who is it? I'm showering. I can't just..."

"Evan, it's Gabrielle Delacour!" A girl's voice was heard. "It's okay. If you're in the shower, I'll wait here for a while."

"It's Gabrielle. Why is that girl here?"

Evan remembered the lovely girl who seemed like a Veela, with her angelic face and the sweet smile on her lips.

Gabrielle and Elaine were completely opposite in many ways, although both were equally innocent.

Due to her vampire lineage, Elaine had an indescribably evil temperament. Those deep wine-red pupils could imperceptibly submerge people into them with ease. Coupled with her pale skin and subtle powerful magic, her beauty felt rather dangerous.

Compared to her, Gabrielle was more like the girl next door. Friendly, no matter what happens, she would show a radiant smile that could even melt ice and snow.

The Veela in her, on the other hand, had her own temptation that could allure anyone. It wasn't a temptation she would willingly possess, but it existed and was exceedingly deadly.

Evan couldn't help but reminisce about being at Beauxbatons Campus two months ago, Gabrielle embracing him, the girl's cold hands, the adorable smiles, and the sweet scent.

Evan wasn't certain if it was Gabrielle or the scent of milk, but everything was jumbled and imprinted in his mind.

Certainly, it didn't matter if it was milk or something else. Now wasn't the time to ponder over who was more beautiful.

With Gabrielle's genetics making her so attractive, Evan felt that this truly wasn't his fault... he had no idea how things had ended up like this.

Evan was a pure and good boy. Whether it was for Gabrielle or Elaine, he harbored no wicked thoughts.

If it were Hermione, he might contemplate it...

The thought of Hermione sobered Evan.

Looking at the clothes in his hand, he knew it was a misunderstanding that couldn't be explained.

He only wished it were a dream that could end.

Clearly, leaving Gabrielle waiting outside the door wasn't an option. It would alarm others, and they would rush to be with her.

Everyone would be at Evan's door. How would he explain Elaine's presence in the room?

Evan simply told Gabrielle he was going to bathe, but with a girl in the room, how could he bathe!

If that were the case, it would obviously make this misunderstanding even harder to explain. And in case Hermione got alarmed, that truly...

Evan immediately made a decision and had to let Gabrielle in. Then quickly, he had to get rid of the two girls before others woke up.

Considering Harry had just woken up, Evan knew he had to hurry. If Gabrielle stayed in the hallway for even a second longer, the risk would be even greater.

As for Elaine, he had to leave her hidden in the bathroom.

There were also those clothes in his hands. Evan looked around and shoved them directly under the bed's beddings. He gasped heavily and adjusted the bed's shape multiple times to make it appear more natural.

He then tried to catch his breath and neared the door.

Outside the door, Gabrielle, clad in the Beauxbatons uniform, looked uneasy behind Kreacher.

When she saw Evan emerge, a glint of joy lit up in her eyes.
