Hundreds of wizards were battling in the narrow tunnel of the ruins of the Centaurs.

The spells and cries seemed endless, and the space was filled with red, blue, and green curses.

Unlike playful duels among young wizards, these were real battles to the death.

Some resorted to common duel spells. Evan noticed that more and more people were turning to Avada Kedavra and other types of forbidden curses, striving to kill their enemies.

No one showed restraint. Even without malice or hatred, everyone was eager to kill each other. Many fell dead, and blood flowed everywhere.

Soon, the onyx walls, ceilings, and floors of the Temple turned a deep red.

Evan and Sirius kept retreating, and the situation in front of them was too chaotic.

Curses flew through the air, sowing chaos, shining with a dazzling light, like countless sharp arrows coming from all sides.

The sudden battle scene grew increasingly fierce, eventually becoming the most chaotic and bewildering battle Evan had ever witnessed.

Hundreds of wizards gathered there, with reddened eyes and grinding teeth, as if they had found their lifelong sworn enemies. They attacked without purpose or reason. Most hadn't even seen the so-called Treasure of the Centaurs.

Under the influence of the curse cast by the vampires lurking in the darkness, everyone went mad. Now they only thought of killing for gold, without distinguishing between friends and foes.

A horrifying and chilling massacre was taking place here, which, if reported, would undoubtedly shake the magical world as a whole.

It was inconceivable that something like this could happen in this peaceful era.

Vampires were truly terrible. No wonder they had long been regarded as the most dangerous dark creatures, and their existence was a taboo in itself.

Evan and Sirius dodged the flying spells. They tried to spot vampires among the crowd, but the situation was too chaotic to identify anything.

"Damn, these people are insane!" bellowed Sirius, waving his wand and casting an Imperius Curse against a wizard who was shouting at him and lunging toward him.

His spell hit the man but attracted several more.

Sirius cast several spells in succession, escorting Evan backward.

Indeed, Evan was also irritated.

What was happening suddenly before him was beyond his initial expectations. Since the vampires dared to take that step, it meant that the magic to summon the evil spirit was nearly complete.

All the wizards fighting were going to die, becoming sacrifices of flesh and blood for the evil god.

Everything was happening too fast, and Evan didn't understand how the vampires were going to summon the evil god without obtaining their own Philosopher's Stone.

Boom, boom!

Just as he was pondering these things, the floor of the Temple suddenly began to collapse.

The entire area shook violently, and huge cracks started appearing on the floor.

The ground cracked open, like a giant black figure mercilessly opening a massive mouth, swallowing the wizards in combat and the fallen bodies.

Evan and Sirius tried to escape, but everything happened too quickly, and both fell.

Around them, there were countless equally terrified wizards and massive falling stones.

A falling stone approached them, and Evan waved his wand and shattered it.

Some stone fragments hit him, causing sharp pain. However, he had no time to worry about that. Beneath them, a dark, deep, and unfathomable pit suddenly opened.

If he fell like this, he wouldn't have a chance to survive.

What was even more terrifying was that some of the falling wizards continued maliciously casting curses. These lunatics did not want to live at all and dragged others to their deaths with them.

Not far away, Sirius was shouting something to Evan.

There was so much noise around him that Evan couldn't hear anything.

He tried to calm himself and think about which magic to use.

In such a chaotic situation, it seemed that all invocations were futile.

He attempted to cast a levitation charm on himself, hoping to slow the fall, but only succeeded in becoming a target for the falling men and stones.

In the following moment, a silvery white light flew from top to bottom.

Evan saw Sirius pointing his wand at him. It was a spell similar to the Shield Charm. Upon the impact of the spell, he began to rise.

It exerted a force that pulled him away from Sirius's wand and danger. However, it also hastened Sirius's fall.

"No!" Evan shouted, trying to stop Sirius.

He saw Sirius's once handsome face, now bearing a fading smile, and Sirius gesturing at him, stubbornly and with innate pride, just as before.

Under Evan's gaze, his body plummeted at an extremely rapid speed, gradually vanishing into the infinite darkness.

"SIRIUS!" Evan cried, "SIRIUS!"

Before he could use any magic, Sirius had vanished.

Thus...

Evan collapsed on the floor of the Temple, his mind blank...

Just a few seconds ago, the place was exceptionally bustling with activity. Now, there was no one but him.

All that remained was a deadly silence and a vast, unfathomable abyss.

Below, the rumble never ceased.

It seemed as though this abyss, which had emerged out of nowhere, extended to the core of the earth.

Despite the pain, Evan stood up as swiftly as he could.

He approached the crater, hoping to see Sirius emerge from the depths, but all he saw was darkness.

His vision slowly blurred. Evan had only one thought in his mind: he had to save Sirius!

But descending into that deep abyss was evidently reckless.

Evan had little time to contemplate. Soon after the wizards fell, the Temple's spatial magic abruptly turned chaotic and unsettling.

"I am waiting, the great existence is approaching!"

The strange voice echoed in the temple, seeming to resonate in the depths of Evan's mind.

It was the voice of the evil god. Evan would never forget it, even in death. This voice could awaken the darkest fears and trepidation hidden in the heart.

Curse it, those vampires were truly summoning this dreadful malevolent spirit!

Evan no longer pondered where they drew their strength from; he rose panting.

His only focus was on how to save Sirius, if he somehow survived...

At this moment, Evan's body trembled uncontrollably, undoubtedly consumed by terror.

He wasn't scared of those vampires lurking in the shadows or the evil god who could emerge at any moment... He was terrified of Sirius's demise...
