Ron knew that Krum had learned about the dragon. He had seen Karkaroff come here that night.

"I have some thoughts!" Krum said simply, furrowing his brow and looking at Ron with a certain discernment.

Looking at him, it was evident that he was wondering why Ron would tell him that.

The champions were not supposed to know the task's content before the tournament began. Krum was unsure of what Ron meant. It was not wise to take the initiative to expose the fact that he knew the content of the tournament beforehand.

"The Conjunctivitis Curse is the simplest magic to deal with the dragon. Are you familiar with this spell?" whispered Ron.

He was ready but worried that if Krum was not prepared, he would be torn apart directly by the dragon...

"I know this spell!" Krum grimly looked at Ron. He paused and said, "The Headmaster told me it is a common magic against dragons. Furthermore, there is a simpler and more effective spell..."

Right at that moment, Bagman entered from the other side of the tent.

"Ah, Ron, it's great that you came!" Bagman said happily, quickly approaching Ron and interrupting his conversation with Krum. "I spoke with your father yesterday. Just relax and make yourself at home!"

Bagman somehow looked like a slightly exaggerated animated figure standing between them, wearing his old Wasps robes again.

"Well, now that we are all here, it's time to get you up to speed!" Bagman said cheerfully. "When the audience is gathered, I will offer each of you this bag!" He lifted a small purple silk bag and waved it towards them. "From it, each will select a small model of what you are about to face! There are different... um... varieties, you see. And I must also tell you something else; your task is to retrieve the golden egg!"

The champions nodded to show they understood Bagman's words.

No one spoke, and everyone had pale faces. It was truly thrilling to snatch the golden egg from a nesting mother dragon.

And soon, hundreds and hundreds of pairs of feet could be heard passing by the tent, their owners talking excitedly, laughing, joking...

Ron felt separated from the crowd as if they were a different species.

He kept looking around, wondering why Evan had not arrived yet.

There was a terrible thought in his mind. If Evan didn't come, he wouldn't get the Fire Protection Potion, and then he would have a high chance of being burned to death by the dragon's fire, and despair and fear overtook him once again.

The little courage that had just surfaced vanished instantly.

And the simple spell that Krum had just talked about also distracted Ron. He wasn't sure if that magic would work. If it was as simple and effective as Krum claimed, should he try it?

Although they had a battle plan, it was always good to have a simpler way to complete the task.

Time passed quickly, and more than ten minutes later, Bagman was already opening the purple silk bag's opening.

"Let's begin, champions, ladies first," he said, offering the bag to Fleur Delacour.

Fleur reached a trembling hand into the bag and pulled out a tiny, perfect model of a dragon. It was a Welsh Green, with the number 2 around its neck.

Upon seeing the model, Fleur showed no signs of surprise, but rather a determined resignation.

Krum pulled out the bluish-gray Swedish Short-Snout, with the number 1 tied around its neck. He didn't even blink, simply sat back and looked at the ground.

Cedric was about to reach into the bag when Ron hurriedly stopped him.

"Wait, let me go first!" he said in a trembling voice.

Evan had provided him with an analysis of the habits and attack patterns of the four dragons. And Ron knew the Hungarian Horntail was the most ferocious.

There were only two dragons left in the bag. He didn't want Cedric to go first!

"Let Ron go first, this poor boy must be frightened!" Bagman said.

Cedric shrugged indifferently, indicating for Ron to go first.

Ron stepped forward and reached into the silk bag. He could feel the two models in his hands.

He remembered that the Hungarian Horntail had many spines, but he couldn't feel them. Could he rely solely on luck?!

At that moment, Ron saw Bagman wink at him and gesture to choose the one on the right.

He pulled out the model on the right without a second thought!

Indeed, it was the scarlet Chinese Fireball with the number 3 around its neck.

Ron breathed a sigh of relief and gasped for breath. He remembered Evan saying that the most powerful aspect of the Chinese Fireball was its flame attack. Its physical attack was relatively weak. If Evan handed over the potion, he would hardly be in danger.

Indeed, the Hungarian Horntail was left for Cedric, with the number 4.

"Well, there you have it!" said Bagman. "Each of you has drawn the dragon you will face, and the numbers indicate the order in which you will face the dragons, see? Now, in a moment I'll have to leave you because I'll be commentating. Mr. Krum, you go first. Simply walk out into the enclosure when you hear a whistle, understood? Now... Ron... Could I have a quick word with you? Outside?"

"Uh... yes." Ron nodded and left the tent with Bagman.

It felt strange not knowing what Bagman was going to say, but the latter had just helped him.

Bagman seemed to have something very important to say. He took Ron's arm and led him a certain distance, among the trees. Then he turned to him with a paternal expression on his face.

"Are you feeling alright, Ron? Is there anything I can get for you?" said Bagman.

"What?" said Ron surprised. "No, nothing!"

"Do you have a plan?" Bagman said, lowering his voice conspiratorially. "Come on, your father and I are old friends. Youre like my son. I can't bear to see you face the dragons like this. Remember? I helped you choose the Chinese Fireball Dragon. It's much less difficult than the Hungarian Horntail. If you want, I can give you more ideas. I mean..." Bagman lowered his voice even more, whispering in Ron's ear.

"Don't worry, nobody would find out. You're the underdog here, Ron. Anything I can do to help..." he continued.

Ron nodded uncomfortably, hesitating, but unable to resist the temptation.

He knew it was definitely not right to let a judge help him cheat, but listening to Bagman's advice wasn't a bad thing.

Ron felt like it was his lucky day. First, he learned a powerful and simple spell from Krum to deal with the dragon, then he pulled out a less challenging Chinese Fireball Dragon, and now Bagman had offered to help...
