When they separated from the crowd at the Ministry of Magic, Evan immediately said, "That man called Scrimgeour seems very dangerous, don't you think?"
He could sense that most wizards were surprised after he displayed great magic.
Only Rufus Scrimgeour wanted to explore the source of his magic. Barty Crouch probably wanted to do the same, but now he was too busy with the matters of Winky and her son to focus on Evan.
These two men seemed exceptionally insightful, so he had to be cautious when interacting with them later.
"Scrimgeour has always been like that. He's a veteran Auror!" Sirius said, "After Alastor Moody's retirement, he was the only one of the former Aurors left. He holds much prestige in the Ministry of Magic."
"And the other former Aurors?" Harry asked.
"They resigned, died, or went mad. Being an Auror is a very dangerous profession, very few can stay in it till the end." Sirius replied, "Only the best Aurors can protect themselves while dealing with dark wizards. You know, there are many instances where the danger doesn't necessarily come from the enemy. Aurors like Scrimgeour are very rare."
"Aurors are always suspicious, as if assuming everyone is a dark wizard," Mr. Weasley agreed.
"Those who work in that position for a long time end up like that. They have seen too many intrigues." Sirius paused for a moment and continued, "It's not a bad thing to know who to trust and who not to."
It seemed like he was thinking back to the deaths of Peter Pettigrew and Harry's parents and blaming himself for his past naivety.
"Yes, but everyone still fears anything related to Aurors," Mr. Weasley continued, "Let me tell you, Scrimgeour chose Crouch as his opponent this time, but it was a big mistake. Crouch is not the kind of person to be easily frightened."
"Look at his attitude towards that house-elf. He could dismiss anything that affects his reputation at any moment." Sirius said disdainfully, "Barty Crouch is much more cunning and dangerous than Scrimgeour."
"But Winky didn't make mistakes," Hermione immediately said. "What will happen to her?"
"They have no evidence, and eventually, they will release her!" Sirius said, "But she will definitely be dismissed by Barty Crouch. I hope the excitement doesn't kill her."
"It's unfair. Mr. Crouch can't treat her like this!" said Hermione angrily. "He knows she didn't do it, and yet he's going to dismiss her! He didn't care how scared she was, or how upset she was... he doesn't treat her like a human being at all!"
"Well, she's not human," Ron interjected.
Upon hearing this statement, Hermione immediately turned to him to confront him.
"That doesn't mean she doesn't have feelings, Ron. It's disgusting that they do that, and you should..."
"Well, Hermione, I agree with you, but now is not the time to argue about the rights of house-elves!" Mr. Weasley quickly said. "You'd better return to the shop. Sirius and I will take care of the rest."
A few minutes later, they encountered obstacles when leaving the stadium.
Although Ministry of Magic officials were trying to evacuate the crowd, there were still many witches and wizards gathered there who refused to disperse.
They looked frightened. When they saw someone coming out from within, they swarmed.
Evan hid behind Sirius and didn't want to be recognized. But this concern was superfluous, and these wizards did not recognize Evan.
They were just protesting and demanding that the Ministry of Magic issue a statement.
What happened tonight was an extremely serious evil. Many witches and wizards gathered to demand that the Ministry of Magic announce the truth of the incident and arrest and punish the killer as soon as possible.
Additionally, they also wanted to know who had conjured the Dark Mark.
"What is happening there?"
"Who conjured the Mark?"
"Was It him? Did he plan tonight's attack?"
"Has he returned?"
"Of course, it wasn't him!" Mr. Weasley couldn't help but say, "We don't know who it was; the dark wizard has fled! Alright, please, step aside; I want to go to sleep."
They crossed the crowd and returned to the campsite, which was quiet and eerie.
Each tent was dark, lacking the pleasant atmosphere of the day.
Everyone hid in their tents and dared not make a sound. Outside, Ministry of Magic officials patrolled everywhere.
"Dad, what's going on?" Charlie emerged from the tent.
Due to the Aurors' blockade, he, Bill, and Percy had not entered the central area.
"Nothing, we'll investigate!" Mr. Weasley said, "Well, children! You go in, I have to go take a look. With what happened, there must be a shortage of staff at the Ministry. People are needed everywhere to maintain order. I must help."
After asking Sirius to take care of everyone, he turned around and disappeared into the darkness.
They all sat around the small kitchen table, looking shocked and worse for wear.
Bill was holding a sheet to his arm, which was bleeding profusely.
Charlie had a large tear in his shirt, and Percy sported a bloody nose.
These were all the marks left from the fight with the dark wizards and vampires who took advantage of the fire.
Evan saw that Sirius was also severely injured, his body covered in blood, but fortunately, his wounds were all superficial.
From his cloth bag, he hastily pulled out a white potion, which he had prepared himself.
This potion had a good healing effect on fall injuries and was suitable for use at that moment.
"Thank you," said Sirius, "This is exactly what I need."
He took it and spread it over the wounds on his arms, and they quickly healed.
"Who are the dark wizards who attacked tonight?" Charlie asked. "Are they You-Know-Who's men?"
"They are vampires. Sirius and I had contact with them in the forests of Albania," Evan said. "They are all very evil dark wizards, true outcasts, and in a way, even more terrible than the Death Eaters. The existence of vampires is a taboo in itself, which makes them live on the edge of the world."
Except for Sirius, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, the rest of the people looked at Evan in surprise.
No one thought that the dark wizards who attacked that night were vampires; it was simply incredible.
"No wonder the magic they use is very strange. I just had a fight with a masked guy!" Bill said, "Some of their magic is somewhat similar to that of ancient Egyptian wizards. We have found similar records in various sacrificial tombs. All that ancient magic is based on blood."
Despite the rush to confront and the great losses, the Ministry of Magic still managed to capture some vampires.
After a night of interrogation, it was reasonable that before tomorrow, Caresius and his people would become wanted.
In the world of magic, some things are not as simple as gritting one's teeth and insisting on not saying anything; a powerful wizard can get anything they want to know from a person's soul if they so desire...
