The power of the ancient sorcerers was truly extremely strong. Among other things, that powerful sealing magic carved on the wall of the ruins stood as proof of it.

Achieving a similar effect today would be quite a miracle.

In this realm of absolute magical prohibition, any spell would lose its function. Not even the power of the wicked god could be utilised whatsoever.

With such a temple to isolate it from the outside world, there was no way to affect other creatures.

Before the Noumenon arrived, the wicked god couldn't invade minds and spirits, which meant it had lost its only means of attack.

While this held the wicked gods in check, the mechanism outside the ruins and the Mantcora could also block all outsiders.

The ancient sorcerers who built the Temple originally designed it very well, with the intention of forever sealing the statue of the wicked god.

Unfortunately, they probably didn't foresee that a thousand years later, the surrounding environment would undergo such massive changes.

All the ancient wizards who were once strong and powerful became history and disappeared with the evolution of human civilization.

This area had also transformed into a vast swamp, and the entire site had sunk into the depths of the earth. Many places were destroyed as the building sank and naturally weathered. The powerful sealing magic originally engraved on the wall cracked and gradually lost its original function. The potent energy now pervading the chamber was perhaps less than a tenth of what it was at its peak.

The power of the wicked god returned once more, and its statue was brought back by Okegiga to the Centaurs' colony.

All that remained was this temple, silently submerged in the depths of the swamp, along with the senseless caretaker.

Evan's fingers gently slid over the marble, and he could clearly feel the vicissitudes of history after the impressive power represented by the ancient magical words and symbols on the wall.

He walked forward for over ten minutes and did not traverse the entire length of the hallway.

The space within this relic was unimaginable, and it could take several hours to walk from one end to the other.

There was not enough time left as agreed upon by Evan and Caresius, and he couldn't proceed further.

He had planned to record the ancient magic inscriptions carved on the wall and all magical symbols to study them carefully later. Now, it seemed he would have to find time to return again.

He decided to head towards the center, take a look at where the statue of the wicked god was found, and then return.

This exploration allowed him to witness the power of the ancient sorcerers, a force beyond what was known with modern magic.

The more he came into contact with it, the more he realized how insignificant his knowledge of magic was.

It is worth noting that when he first entered school, like other young wizards, he was thrilled for half a day if he successfully cast a spell.

He once thought that the power of Dumbledore and Voldemort was the limit that wizards could achieve.

Later, as he studied magical documents and came into contact with artifacts and magical powers left by the Four Founders and other ancient wizards, Evan gradually realized that the power that once seemed so strong to him might be only the beginning.

As he saw the power of the wicked gods and the ancient sorcerers, a completely new door opened before him.

There were still many mysteries in the world of magic that he didn't understand. There was much knowledge he needed to acquire.
