Behind Wood, they also saw Mr. Diggory and his son, who were about to visit the Quidditch field in advance.
Cedric Diggory was an extremely handsome young man of about seventeen. He was the Captain and Seeker of the Hufflepuff House Quidditch team at Hogwarts.
One could try to paint him in the gentlest light possible, but this meant he was the adversary of the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
Especially considering they defeated the Gryffindor team in the previous year's first Quidditch match, making him somewhat unwelcome by all.
Fred and George didn't even greet them; they hadn't forgiven him yet.
Cedric's father, Amos Diggory, was a rosy-faced wizard with a scruffy brown beard. He worked for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at the Ministry of Magic and was close to Mr. Weasley.
It was evident he was extremely proud of his son.
Amos rudely gazed at Harry and Sirius for a long time, especially at Harry's scar on his forehead.
Cedric has spoken about you, of course, said Amos Diggory. He told us all about playing against you last year. I said, I said... When you're older, that will be something to tell your grandchildren. It's amazing! You bested Harry Potter!
Defeating Harry Potter, now that was truly a provocative statement.
Sirius glared unfriendly, and Fred and George frowned again.
Only Cedric stood there, looking slightly embarrassed.
Harry fell off his broom, Dad! he whispered. I told you, it was an accident...
Yes, but you didn't fall, did you? Amos jovially grunted, patting his son on the back. Always modest, always gallant, understanding that compassion for the weak is a rare virtue, but the best man won, I'm sure Harry would say the same. One falls off their broom, one stays on it; you don't have to be a genius to know who the better flier is.
This remark was truly preposterous, and almost all looks turned sour.
Well, I need water, quickly! Mr. Weasley hastily said, producing a large dusty teapot. Kids, can you go back, please? You can take the opportunity to walk around the camp. Don't worry about time.
At Mr. Weasley's insistence, they quickly got moving, and everyone seemed displeased.
Incredible! That guy seriously said he defeated Harry! If it weren't for the Dementors... Ron complained.
Dad is always like that, too kind! Fred vigorously shook the teapot.
If it were me, I'd simply run over and give Amos a lesson, George remarked.
The others stayed silent, not objecting to George's statement, not even Hermione.
Of course, she seemed a bit off today, not as eager to express her opinions as before.
Since what happened the night before, she had been trying to avoid Evan all morning and hadn't spoken to him.
Every time their eyes accidentally met, she blushed and quickly looked away.
She was simply embarrassed; she was just an innocent young woman...
This was the main reason for her abnormal behavior. She wasn't angry because Evan got into her bed. Maybe she even felt a bit good about it!
Although Evan was as confused as she was, he knew it was time to make use of his unexpected victory. However, he had no chance at all!
From morning until now, they had never been alone for a second. They couldn't say anything in front of so many people.
Ultimately, they had always maintained this eccentric relationship.
They crossed the camp and arrived at the water pump, where a small line had formed.
Fred and George spotted Lee Jordan. He was their friend at school, and they often got into trouble together.
The three gathered and murmured for a while, then left the team behind with a smile, leaving the others clueless about their intentions.
What are they up to? Ron asked suspiciously, looking at the trio.
I don't know! Harry shook his head and picked up the teapot Fred had left.
They lined up, and in front of them, two men were having a heated argument. One of them was a very old wizard wearing a long floral nightgown. The other was clearly a wizard from the Ministry, holding a pair of striped trousers and almost crying out of frustration.
"Put them on, Archie, please. You can't walk around like that. The muggle at the door is already starting to suspect..."
"I bought this at a muggle store," the old wizard said obstinately. "Muggles wear them."
"Muggle women wear them, Archie, not men. They wear these," the Ministry wizard said as he brandished the striped trousers.
"I'm not going to put them on!" exclaimed Archie indignantly. "I want to have a healthy breeze around my private parts, thank you."
Upon hearing their conversation, everyone couldn't help but laugh.
Especially Hermione, who was overwhelmed by a fit of laughter so strong at that moment that she had to step out of line and only returned when Archie had picked up his water and walked away.
A few minutes later, walking slower due to the weight of the water, they returned through the campground.
This teapot was very large and very heavy when filled with water.
Without magic, they had great difficulty carrying it.
Hermione and Ginny couldn't hold the teapot, and Evan, Harry, and Ron took turns holding it for a while.
Along the way, they saw many Hogwarts students.
Among them, the most impressive was Cho Chang, who had just approached.
Cho was a very pretty girl who played as Seeker on the Ravenclaw team.
She greeted and smiled at everyone and Harry accidentally spilled quite a bit of water on his forehead as he hastily greeted back.
"Hi! I just saw Cedric and he said they're pumping water here!" Cho said happily, with a flushed face full of concern and excitement. "Evan, how are you? Since you left school early at the end of last term..."
She specifically inquired about Evan's situation, clearly very concerned.
Evan and Cho had a good relationship. Since they met, they became close friends over time.
Cho seemed to have a crush on Evan, but well, most girls at school had a crush on him.
"Thank you, I'm fine. No issues at all," Evan replied with a smile. "Have you been during the summer..."
Before he could continue, he saw Hermione appear behind him.
Upon seeing Cho, who had been hidden all day, Hermione decided to approach her, a look of vigilance on her face.
Evan sensed a hint of tension, and the situation seemed a bit strained.
Fortunately, the expected confrontation did not occur.
After seeing Hermione arrive, Cho quickly distanced herself from them, her face still flushed.
Watching Cho walk away, Evan felt somewhat relieved, unaware that the real issue awaiting him was behind him...
