HOMEROOM:

Balin was still nervous of his first day at school in days, but the love he was receiving from his classmates, including his best friend Matt made him more confident. Just as much as the love from his demon friends.

As the clapping dialled down a little, the class' homeroom teacher Mrs. Briggs began speaking again.

"Now kids, I'd like to you all to know that Balin here has been through a lot over these last few weeks. From being separated by his family, and as many of us have heard recently, going missing on the streets after... leaving a foster home, but thank the Lord and Jesus Christ that he's safe with us once more." she said with a kind smile and tone.

Hearing that, Balin had felt a special love for Jesus his entire life, thanks to this school of his. But since this all started, he already felt like he wasn't always gonna be there, especially with his situation before Hell AND when he discovered the truth about Heaven and some of its angels.

"So while we are glad he's back, let's all be friends. Nice and open of space." continued Mrs. Briggs. "Poor guy must still be recovering, aren't you sweetie?" the boy then gave his teacher a slow but happy nod.

Being the teacher she was to this wonderful class of students, she began checking her roster.

"Margaret Addison?" she began calling out their names. "Present." a random student replied.

"Barney Ammerol?" "Here, Ms."

"Orion Ballard?" "Here."

"Ugh... Buzz Caster." "Took ya long enough!" said a school bully who sat next to his twin sister.

"And his sister..." Matt whispered to Balin. They finished the sentence together as the teacher called out her name. "Leni Caster." "Here, blonde, and fabulous!" the girl boasted rudely.

Matt then took a sniff of Balin's hair and soon became curious. "Um, Balin, if you don't mind me saying, your hair smells kinda weird."

Balin then widened his eyes at the question, and that was where it hit him. He knew he couldn't reveal the fact he was living in Hell for the last month with for demons, or that his dog-like caretaker, who took care of him by giving him face licks very often everyday, was one of them. So keeping his promise with Blitzø in mind, he decided to keep it a secret for his best friend.

"Oh yeah, my caretaker, she has this dog and it wanted to just, you know, brush my hair for today." he replied. "Somehow it just knows how to make a moment."

"Mmm, fair enough." replied Matt. "I mean, who wouldn't resist." the two boys then chuckled as the teacher called out his name.

"Present, Ms. Briggs!" he replied.

As he called out his name to the teacher, Balin then looked towards the two sibling bullies and gulped. Their wide-eyed expressions soon turned to pompous and evil grins. He knew them since he came here altogether, but always hid whenever they were around, so they never really met. Until now. If Loona wasn't a scary first brush in this classroom, he didn't know what else.

After a few minutes of chattering to one another, the class bell rang and as the kids left, Balin and Matt were asked to stay behind.

"Okay Balin. So, first off, welcome back, can't express it enough." Mrs. Briggs said kindly. "Thank you, Mrs. Briggs." replied Balin even kinder.

"Anyway, now that you're back, since you're new to this side of the school, I'd like to let you know that you won't just be writing notes into your books. You'll also have your very own school laptop for research purposes."
