58} The Last Day Of The Timeline

The Hargreeves family gathered together in the lobby on the stairs to initiate their final vote on what they'd do for the end of the world. Jenna begrudgingly plopped herself down next to her husband with a hearty sigh, glancing over at Lila who stood near Diego.
"I think you can all guess which way I'll be voting," Allison started off, "We've all been through a lot. We've all lost people," She gave a sad smile to Jenna and Five, "kids, mannequins... but their deaths have to mean something. Which is why I'll be voting to go with Dad."
"What she said," Lila smirked in Diego's face and walked over near Allison, "Let's go save the bloody universe!"
"Whoo-hoo!" Klaus cheered.
"All right, since she said yes," Diego stepped away, "I vote stay. How's that for nice?"
"You're not being serious?" Lila scoffed.
"It's his vote, Lila," Allison told her, "Klaus?"
"I'm with Father," Klaus twirled his hands around.
Ben gave Reginald a hard nod in agreement to be on his side.

"Okay," Allison counted, "That's four to one. Viktor?"
He let out a huge sigh, "Look, I wanna believe, okay? I really do. I just can't shake the feeling that we don't know what we're getting ourselves into."
"No," Allison tried to change his mind, "but we know what we've got if we don't. We have to go into this together, Viktor. A family."
"You can't just keep throwing the word 'family' around," Vik groaned, "It isn't enough. I vote stay."
"Luther?" Allison turned to him.
"Um..." He looked down at Sloane who was sitting in between his feet, "Sloane and I talked, and, well, we're out. Look, we wanna spend whatever time we have left together, and not fighting some guy with a sword and ringing bells and stuff. So..."
"Well, dead even. Four in, four out," Viktor announced, causing everyone to turn to Five and Jenna.

"I guess I vote for whatever he does," Jenna smiled at everyone, "Sorry if you don't like his decision, god knows I probably won't either, but I don't wanna go out of this world fighting with my husband preferably."
"Well, Number Five?" Reginald said, "What'll it be?"
"I saw the future, and it told me to sit this one out," He smirked, "So we vote stay. It's time we accept our fate."
"You're all pathetic," Allison sneered and walked off out of frustration.
"Why can't we just go in there, just the four of us?" Ben asked his father.
"That would mean certain failure," Reggie shook his head, "There must be seven and that one there," He nudged his head towards Jenna, "Children, I can't say I'm happy with this. But I see now the blame falls on me. I failed you when you were young, and I have failed you now. And in doing so, I have doomed the entire universe. If anyone needs me, I'll be in the courtyard... awaiting the end."
"Idiots," Ben scoffed and stormed off like Allison.
"Was that a real apology?" Viktor couldn't believe what he'd heard from his dad.
"The man's never apologized for anything in his life," Luther pointed out.
"I actually feel bad for him," Diego commented.
"Don't worry," Five smirked, "It'll pass."

"So now what?" Sloane asked no one in particular.
"We wait for our impending end," Jenna gave her a half-hearted smile.
"See you around," Five grabbed Jenna's hand and took her with him, "It's been interesting."
"Thanks for being my family when I didn't have mine," Jenna told everyone, "Just know that I love you guys if I don't see you again."
"Love you, too, Jenna," Diego waved.
"Love ya, little sis!" Klaus blew her a kiss.
"Mwah, you little shit stain," Lila winked.
"You were the best addition to the family that we could've ever gotten," Luther saluted her as she entered the elevator.
"Why do you get the lovey goodbyes?" Five asked her.
"I've told you before," She squeezed his hand, "because I'm nice to them, you aren't. So, where are we going for the end of the world celebration?"
"I was thinking raid the kitchen and have one last date strolling the halls of the hotel."
"So romantic, but I know you just wanna try and figure out everything from last night."
"You caught me. But I really do wanna spend time with you before everything goes kaboom. Wanna eat cereal and walk around with me, Jenna Hargreeves?"
Jenna thought back to the first time Five actually made a move on her.
