Luther stood outside the wreckage of the van, shivering, with his thumb out in a poor attempt to hitchhike. Everyone else started to look one another over for damage, especially Five, who was examining every inch of Jenna to make sure nothing happened to her or the baby.
"Quit it," Jenna finally swatted his hands away after the fifth scan of her belly, "I'm fine. Force field, remember?"
"I just wanna make sure you're okay," He begrudgingly pulled his hands back to his sides.
"Leave it to this clown car of a family to botch a simple search and rescue," Ben groaned.
"You shouldn't have been here in the first place," Jenna rolled her eyes at him, "This was none of your concern and Hargre- Grossman, should've never reached out to you."

"Who were those weirdos with the fanny packs?" Viktor asked from the backseat of the mutilated van.
"Was it me," Lila squinted, trying to get her head straight, "Or did they smell like wet sheep?"
"Goats, I thought," Luther replied, "Maybe llamas."
"Who cares?" Diego crossed his arms over his chest and looked at his wife, "Why'd they call you Nancy? And why do they know you, Jenna?"
Before Lila could respond, Five covered for her, "They're names are Jean and Gene. They run an underground organization called the Keepers."
"Sex cult?" Diego nodded.
"No," Jenna rolled her eyes.
"No, once you get to the top, it's always a sex cult. Now, explain, Jen."
"They're an extremist group who believe they have memories from alternate timelines, and they're correct," Jenna elaborated, "Jean and Gene have been helping me track down the people I need while in return, I gave them little things I stole from other timelines while on the interdimensional subway."
"What did any of that mean?" Diego looked at her with his mouth slightly ajar, completely dumbfounded.

"Just listen," She groaned, "They're calling what's going on the 'Umbrella Effect' and-"
"How is this all possible?" Viktor stood up.
"Well, you know, we're still working on that," Lila told him.
"Jenna?" Viktor looked to her for answers.
"I can't tell you," She said, blatantly, "I'm handling it. But I need Jennifer back for this to work and I need you," She pointed to Ben, "To stay away from her."
"What do you need with Jennifer?" Ben scowled at her.
"I. Can't. Tell. You," She said through gritted teeth, "But I can tell you to stay the fuck away from her or something bad with happen."

"Hey, hey, hey," Jenna turned her head to see Allison checking in on Klaus, "Are you okay?"
"I'm absolutely fine, thanks to you," He spat back, clearly unhappy.
"Look," She sputtered, "Are you mad at me because I saved your life?"
"I was very clear, was I not? No Marigold. You had Jenna try to heal me, didn't you?"
"Yeah... yeah, but she couldn't do anything-"
"Exactly, which means if the little, all-powerful, god-woman couldn't do anything for me, you should've left it."
"What was I supposed to do, huh? Let you die?"
"I know," He choked back a sob, "It's just three whole years down the drain. Three years clean and sober. But this is what you wanted, right?"
"What are you- what are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about this. Our little parasitic relationship. The eternal screwup and his holy savior. As long as I'm around, you don't have to look directly at your empty pit of a life."

"Oh, okay, wow! You know what? Maybe you should take it down a notch."
"No, no, no. I think I'll take it up a notch, shall we? I mean, dysfunction is, after all, what we do best in this family. We got daddy issues! Daddy issues!" He pointed to Viktor, "Chaos junkie and Jenna addict," Then to Five, "Mommy issues," Diego, "More daddy issues," Luther, "Obnoxious asshole issues," Ben, "You..." He thought about Lila for a moment, "Well, you kinda seem self actualized. And you, my dear Jenna," He grabbed her face, "Just are daddy. Not the one they have daddy issues with, though. That would we fucking weird. Anyway, I'm just so done living, cowering in your little bubble of superiority," He let go of Jenna's face and turned back to Allison.
