Y/n's POV
Friday passed by in a flash, Bella and I were once again the centre of attention. Bombarded with questions during my free period by Jessica and Angela; I had to confirm that Jasper had only given me a lift to school and that unlike my sister I was not declaring the two of us to be dating.
See my sister and Edward had deliberately planned their announcement by having her arrive with Edward to school. I couldn't see the spectacle but apparently the effect it had on students was surprising. It's made clear to me that the Cullens weren't known for such out of pocket presentations. Like Angela said my first day, they really did keep to themselves.
By the end of the day I had a whomping headache. Not only had I forgotten my eye drops, cause you know blind people can be know to forget to blink, but also the constant questioning made my head hurt.
Jasper offered me a lift home. As promise he drove slower this time as I hugged his back, exhaustingly resting my head on his back as I somewhat zoned out during the drive home.
Anyway it's Saturday and I sat conversing with my dad while he cleaned his gun. I heard the small thud of a new can of beer being placed on the table by Bella as per requested by dad. There was a beat of silence and some shuffling that had me turning my head towards Bella.
"Bella?" I ask, sensing her hesitation. "What is it?"
"I have a date with Edward Cullen." She suddenly blurts out.
"He's a little old for you, isn't he?" Dad pauses what he's doing.
"No. He's a junior. I'm a junior. I thought you liked the Cullens?" Bella counters.
"I thought you didn't like any of the boys in town." Dad rebuked. Referring back to yesterday's conversation at the diner where he asked Bella and I if we liked any of the boys in town.
Bella changed the topic on the matter before I could respond which I was honestly thankful for. I wasn't sure how I felt about Jasper still, so if asked that question again I wouldn't really know what my answer would be.
"Edward doesn't live in town. Technically." Bella says in thought. "He's right outside." She then adds, catching both my dad and myself by surprise.
"He is?" I asked with a quirked brow.
"Yeah, he wanted to meet dad, officially." Bella replied awkwardly.
"All right. Bring him in." Dad agrees, snapping the gun back together as a sorta attempt at intimidation.
"Could you be nice? He's important." Bella said warningly. I didn't hear a response so I just assumed dad nodded.
"Chief Swan. I want to formally introduce myself. I'm Edward Cullen." I heard a familiar voice say after a few moments. Dad had stood up. I'm assuming to stand before the boy to give a formal introduction.
