Y/n's POV
"Goodbye, I'll see you tonight." Jasper whispers as he places a soft kiss upon my head.
"See ya." I say reluctantly letting him go as Bella takes my hand. Walking up the porch steps and into the house Bella and I shimmy our coats off with the brunette hanging them up as I use the wall to guide myself into the living room up to the sofas where I hug my father from behind.
"4 o'clock on the dot. Those boys tryna brown nose me or something?" He hums sarcastically tapping my arms as Bella slumps down beside him and I locate my way to sit on the armchair in the corner.
"They have names." Bella huffs. "Now they're too punctual for you?" She says back with attitude.
"Okay. You understand why you two are being punished, right?" Dad says. The sound of a some paper being dropped on the coffee table reaching my ears following by the sound of my father adjusting himself in his seat, most likely turning to face Bella and I.
"Yeah we know, we put you through hell." I chime as I fiddled with my cane.
"Yes, you did. But I have other reasons for grounding you. Like... I just want you to get some separation from them." Dad tries to say while also subtly hinting at the fact that he did not like our choices to so easily forgive and forget what the boys had put us through.
"Dad, there's nothing you can say. Edward is in my life." Bella argues quietly.
"We spent six months apart. You used to like Jasper." I reply almost as quietly as my sister had.
"Yeah, I'm gathering that. Even so I still don't think you should have forgiven them so easily. They put you through hell. Anyway." Dad trails off, no doubt doing his nervous back of the neck scratch.
"So, all right, how about this? I'll make you a deal. You two are not grounded anymore if you use your new-found freedom to see some of your other friends, too, like... Like Jacob or Paul. They're going through a really tough time right now. Jake's dad's really worried about him. Sam's having a hard time reining Paul in as well. I remember when that was you two. You needed a friend. They were there." He says as I expel a breath of air through my nose nodding to agree with him before getting up and using my cane to go up to my room.
Once in my room I collapse on my bed and huff out loud. Picking up the phone I ask it to phone Paul and listen to the sound of the dail ring and go to the answering machine.
"Hey, it's Paul. Leave a message." Then came the same dreaded beep I'd been met with every time I'd tried to phone him since being back.
Paul hadn't talked to me in weeks. I wanted to fix it, he just...He wouldn't give me the chance. I tried multiple times over the course of an hour to get ahold of the boy but to no luck.
Bella knocked on my door saying she was going to head down to the reservation if I wanted to go but I declined instead choosing to stare blindly out the back window of my room running fingers up and down the scars on my right arm.
I jolted at the sudden sound of my front window opening and closing startled as I turned to face it.
"Jasper." I huff. "You startled me."
"Sorry." He says quietly his steps echoing quietly as he walks my way standing in front of me. "What's troubling your mind." He asks, his fingers now coming up to my scars and tracing them.
"Why do you ask when you already know?" I say moving around him with my arms stretched as I walked to my bed sitting on it.
"Alice tell you?" I question when I feel the bed dip next to me.
"Kinda. I overheard her talking to Edward." He says just as the loud slam of a car door is heard outside. My head turned in the direction before I moved it back and raised a brow at Jasper.
"Edward tried to stop her." I state, earning silence as a response.
"Y/n, the wolves have no control..." Jasper tried to reason as I scoff and turn my head straight and away from him.
"They wouldn't hurt us." I say, slightly disappointed at Jasper for not stopping his brother.
"No true." He said slowly as I felt his gaze harden while looking at my scars.
"It was an accident Jasper, I've already told you that." I cover part of the scar with my as I turn to face him once more.
"I don't understand how you can trust them." He states his gaze turning from me.
"You're not the only one who thinks that Jasper." I state dryly as I stand up moving to the window once more.
A moment of silence passes before I hear soft steps behind me come to a halt and cold arms wrapping around my waist.
"Sorry." He whispers in my ear, his cold lips ghosting my ear as he speaks causing a shiver to run down my spine.
I inhale deeply and let it out in a long sigh. I turn in his arms to face him. My hands drip over his shoulders as I hum.
"It's fine." Before locating his lips with my own as we share another deep tender kiss.

3rd Person POV
Little was the girl aware of the yellow glowing eyes stalking her through her bedroom window hidden deep in the trees of the woods behind her house. A deep growl escaped the wolf's mouth along with an angry huff of air from its snout.
"It's getting late." He heard the leeches' voice say as he pulled away. "You should get washed up for bed." He advises her to cause another angry growl to leave the wolf's mouth.
"Hmm, stay the night?" She asks quietly, earning a verbal confirmation before leaving the honey blonde leeches side.
Once the door to her room clicked closed the leech turned his gaze out the window golden brown eyes locking with the glow yellows ones. The two glare at each other growls escaping both of their mouths as they challenged each other.
Digging his paws into the dirt below him it took everything within Paul not to leap out and attack the leech who smirked at the dog when the girl came back into the room wrapping her arms around the pale man's chest and kissing his cheek.
"I'm tired." She whines.
"Get into bed. I'll join you once I've closed the curtains." The southern drawl of the man said as he pressed a kiss of his own to the side of the girl's head who smiled and walked away.
With a victorious smirk the pale man locked eyes with the wolfs once more before pulling the curtains close and settling down into the bed next to the girl.
Deep growls escaped the wolf who bolted off angrily after the curtain closed. Strings of curses echoing loudly in his head as he ran nowhere in particular but far enough away that he could no longer smell both the leeches sent or the girl he'd come to care for.
