3rd Person POV | Present Time

Shortly after Edward phoned to tell Bella about them losing the tracker Alice and Jasper told the girl to pack her things while they went and checked out of the room. Jasper and Edwards had briefly conversed to meet at another motel further south hoping to delay the tracker finding Bella.

However fate had other plans.

Back in Forks Esme and Rosalie pulled up outside of the Swan residence to see the house swarming with cop cars. Sharing confused glances Rosalie pretended to be a fellow study buddy of Y/n's in hopes to find out what was going on.

"Excuse me?" She called the chief of police.

"Hi, um Y/n and I had plans to study today but she never showed, I was coming to check if everything was okay." Rosalie says to the worried looking man, her voice sounding younger and more softer compared to the usual chip she has to her tone.

"Oh um I'm sorry but Y/n won't be able to study today." Charlie says, turning back to look at the computers they had set up.

"Do you mind if I ask why?" Rosalie innocently asks.

"She's missing." Was all Charlie said before he was called off somewhere. Rosalie froze before hastily running back to the car Esme sat waiting in.

"What's going on?" Esme asks as soon as the blonde enters the vehicle.

"Y/n's missing." The blonde says going paler. "What if James got to her?" She asked.

"Why would the tracker come all the way back to Forks instead of going straight south. Even if he did attack or take her, why would he leave her father?" Esme asks as the pair of women watch the struggling father throw something out of frustration yelling at members of the police force.

Meanwhile back in phoenix Bella receives a phone call while she's packing her things.

"Hey, Y/n, I'm sorry I haven't called you back, things have been a little hectic." She says over the phone.

"Bella? Bella? Bella, is that you?" The panicked, frightened and weeping voice of her sister echoes over the phone.

"Woah calm down, everything's fine." Bella says furrowing her brows as she tries to calm her sister down.

"Bella? Bella? He..." Y/n cries out once more for her sister before she's suddenly silenced.

"Y/n, are you there?" Bella asks, now alerted by the sudden cut off of her sister's voice.

"Forks High School doesn't protect its students' privacy very well. It was just too easy for Victoria to find your address. It's a nice house you have. I was prepared to wait for you, but then I saw precious little Y/n walking around oblivious to what was going on." James's voice slithered through the phone. One could hear the sick and sadistic smirk on his face.
