Y/n's POV
The following day Jasper brought me out to a field where it was agreed upon by the other Cullens members to be THE battlefield for the events to come in the next two days'.
"So who are we waiting for?" I ask from my perch upon a boulder just off the centre of the field.
"Your sister and Edward as well as two of the wolves." Jasper responds as he walks back over.
"Why?" I ask again.
"Well Bella had this sort of idea last night that maybe Victoria is the one commanding the army but is staying out of the action by using the boy Riley." Jasper begins to explain.
"So they're like her puppets or something." I comment as I pull my knees up to my chest.
"Exactly. Now if that is the case we need to make sure we draw the army to a specific location... Hence the field." He continues.
"So by having me here with you now that'll, what? Draw them here?" I ask, trying to make sense of the plan.
"Exactly, the smell of your scent alone will put them in a frenzy and their fighting instincts will kick in. It'll make it easier for us to kill them." He finishes as my shoulders slump.
"I see." I hum just as two pairs of foot steps either side of the field begin to echo in my ears. With Jasper's help I slid down off my perch and stood next to him. His arm over my shoulders with my hand upon his chest as I listen to the conversation.
"You're not fighting? What, did you pull a muscle or something?" Jacobs' voice was the first to speak once we'd all gathered around to talk.
"He's doing it for me, okay?" Bella says a slight warning in her tone.
"Whatever." Jacob grumbles.
"Just tell us the plan." Came a voice I hadn't heard since the bonfire. Paul's.
"This field will give us an advantage in battle. We need to lure the newborns with the twins scents, but they needs to end here." Jasper explains keeping a civil voice which was new.
"Edward, Y/n and I are going to a campsite. Even if they carry us, they'll still pick up on our scents." Bella adds on clarifying why the boys couldn't be the ones to take us to our hiding spot for the fight.
"Your stench, however, is revolting." Edwards says in a tense tone.
"Dude, you really don't wanna start comparing stinks." Jacob growls.
"What he means is that your scent will mask ours if you carry us." Bella quickly intercepts trying to avoid a fight.
"Done." Paul agreed almost immediately.
"This is not a good idea." Edward whispers not so subtly to Jasper.
"Edward, they won't want to get anywhere near their odour." Jasper quickly shoots down.
